Back to the Roots Self-Watering Terracotta Olla Pot (Pack of 3), 700mL Provides 1 Week of Precision Watering

A gardening novice just recently made aware of Ollas as a functional, way to efficiently water, this set presented a good value in order to try it out. Cost per unit, was more affordable than others, and although more capacity was desired, they fit well in a 2' X 4' elevated garden bed. They are easy to implant in the bed, seem well made, fingers crossed.

I love them!! They work great in my big containers. They help me keep water flowing in my desert state. I also love that they are slim and not wide. It helps when positioning them in the pots. I’ve ordered them 5 times. I have one in several 20 gallon containers. They are definitely worth the money. I also like the rubber stopper as opposed to other options I have with other ones I purchased from other companies.

These were great ollas, they hold a LOT more water than others I have tried. Just be sure they will fit your planter, they are my favorites so far! One is feeding three healthy plants, I’m filling it weekly, probably twice a week once summer heats up.

These are great for consistent watering in a raised bed. It's especially great if going out of town for a while so we don't have to worry about the garden. The plug is easy to take on and off and the hole is a good size to be able to fill even from a distance. They release water slowly and are a more affordable and easier option than installing drip irrigation

The ollas work well, and they're packaged nicely...but I'm having to refill them every 2-3 days, in a 2 foot diameter circular raised bed. I don't know if it's because raised bed soil is not very dense or if it's the ollas themselves, but the two beds I've put them in I am regularly having to refill. There's no real reduction in the "labor" of watering with them, except more targeted watering to the plants. I'm going to guess there's actual overwatering at this point, so I'll have to watch for that.

This is good if you have potted plants, bought a few to get ahead of the forecasted drought this summer. Last year, my potted vegetables and strawberries were burnt and dried due to the heat.

Great quality for the price. Ordered 6 in total and all arrived in good condition. The way I plan to use these is in grow bags with peppers and cucumbers to get water down to the roots once the plant matures. I live in the desert so encouraging deeper root growth helps the plants not dry up during the summer. So far I have noticed that the water seems mostly gone from the olla after a day or so. They are a good size and I think they hold a fair bit of water. I also hand water with fertilizer once weekly so the soil hasn't had a chance to dry out too much. We'll see how they perform over the growing season. Overall, I think this will do a good job of getting the water deeper into the grow bag.

I learn about these ollas, they make watering plants in raise beds and containers easier, a bit pricey but I think it saves time in the long run. I have to order a few more in the future.
