Kejora Organic Turmeric - 4 lbs

I simply cannot find fresh turmeric anywhere within a 40 mile radius of my home, so I decided to take a chance on ordering online.1. This package arrive SUPER fast. ETA was first or second week in July, but it showed up in just a few days.2. The tubers are plump, fragrant and fresh. When I can this at the market, it's usually semi dried out, you can tell it's been in the bin for a while.When I unpacked the box, it had 2 mesh bags loaded with turmeric. Only a scant amount of flaked of peel was in the box, another sign of freshness.I immediately put the kettle on, grated half of a tuber along with some fresh ginger, squeezed in half a lemon, threw in a bit of black pepper and coconut oil and made a tea. It was heavenly! So clean and bright tasting and it is super good for you.Today I will be processing most for juice, cutting and freezing some, then making up some marinade, which is basically my tea recipe with some fresh garlic and cayenne pepper and soy sauce. This is so good on any kind of meat and most veggies!In a few months when I run out, I will be purchasing more!Awesome seller, awesome product!!

Good quality decent shipping time could use better control and pack in accordance with weight lost in shipping. If they have not compensated forthis issue your order will not weigh 5 pounds when you receive it.

Always arrives fresh

I appreciate access to fresh turmeric root and have been buying 5 lb through this vendor since 2019.. my 1st order in 1019 was priced @ $5.6 /lb; 2nd order in March 2020 came in @ $7/lb; 3rd order on August 2 came in @ $7.4/lb... I understand that despite the fact that all these orders were Prime, shipping isn't free, and the vendor pays to sell on Amazon... on the other hand, this vendor is selling at RETAIL vs their wholesale distributor status... in the farmer's market (FM) last wk, I picked rhizomes of comparable quality I received from Kejora at $4/lb RETAIL ... today I selected a higher quality turmeric root from the FM for $6/lb RETAIL ... a comment on the quality of the rhizomes from Kejora: my initial purchase in 2019 was wonderful...large rhizomes and very fresh... on the most recent shipment (picture #1) the kejora rhizomes were not all large or fairly uniform, w/ lots of small and broken pieces..... the selection of rhizomes from the FM(picture #2) illustrates the quality of the farmer’s market selection on the right, unfavorably with the Kejora rhizomes on the left... (BTW the vendor selling these rhizomes at the FM buys the product wholesale from a distributor at a lower price, therefore she is making a profit on what she sells at retail, and still at a lower price than Kejora) ... I don't mind paying for quality, but as the price from kejora keeps going up, relative to what I can find at retail elsewhere, the quality of the product shipped should not go down...

The product delivered did not look like the product advertised on Amazon. My turmeric was dry, wrinkled and some had mold. In order to use the turmeric I had to cut away dead parts. I prefer large plump bright turmeric. The quality of this company turmeric has become unusable. I will not return to this company.
