LG 3550EL2004B Dryer Lint Filter Guide Cover

Our filter broke and this was a perfect fit/match.

It was exactly what I was looking for, fit perfectly.

Very flimsily made dryer lint filter guide cover especially for $800 dryer. Not much value for the cost & considered not replacing the flap & the ordered spring that is in transit to me. The original filter guide cover broke while disassembling the dryer filter cover to clean out extensive lint buildup. If this one breaks, it will not be replaced.

This design is flawed with how it connects to the guide. I would highly suggest using some type of metal as the plastic easily breaks off. The main purpose of my purchase was due to the original flap connector failed. I didn’t return it as It was a design problem and a replacement would have the same result.

I ordered this item because I broke the tab on the original flap in my dryer. The tab is circled in the picture. When I received the part today (in a box which was well packaged), that tab was already broken. The only thing I can figure out, is that the tab was broken before it was sent. They should check their inventory better, I guess. I am not sending it back, as I super glued the original one, and so far it is working.

Installing it is difficult. I had to remove it then when I tried putting it back the little hook broke! I’m currently using my dryer without it. Works fine
