Can’t recommend this sub enough! Super cost efficient when looking at price vs performance!!!
This thing pounds for only being a ten!!! But it needs to be powered close the the top rms to bring this thing fully to life. I kinda got lucky. Bought this just to round out my stereo in my car. I’m too old to be using my trunk space to house a huge box so I can set off car alarms as I’m driving. I figured I just get a 10in sub in a smallish enclosed box and still have a lot of trunk space left. Found a box I like that was 12x12xmaybe 13? With a cubic sqft of 0.81. I was a little concerned about the boxes size but after visiting Sundowns website the recommended low size the sub should be put into was 0.5 sqft on a sealed box. I’m running on a Rockford Fosgate T1000ad5 or something. Not sure in of the model #. It’s a five channel amp that claims to push 600 watts at 2 ohms to the sub channel . After installing everything I am super impressed with how fast and accurate this sub is. I don’t want to sound like a know it all but my home theater has a SVS PB4000 and a Miller and Kessel both 12s. So I have heard what a quality sub is supposed to sound like. And this thing is the real deal. Fast, accurate, able to get lower than I thought this 10 would be able to get, and it thumps when u turn it up. Good with all genres of music, hip hop to metal to county. This thing sounds awesome across the board! I Bought this to blend in with the rest of my stereo and a sub that could punch you in the chest was not a box I was trying to check off while looking at subs. But this guy does it all for being just a 10. Don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t hound like two 12s. My comparison is to other 10s on the market that I have listened to including JL W6 at almost 3 time the price. This is in the trunk of my Volvo S60 and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!!!

Excellent
I’ve been a bass head since I got my first vehicle over 5 years ago. Throughout that time I’ve had several different setups including two 15’s, two 12’s, a single 15 and two 10’s all in my little extended cab Dakota. As of now, I have one sa-10 in a qbomb ported box and it sounds great. I’m powering it with a Rockford Fosgate p500d wired at 2 ohms and I can tell this sub just wants more power. The Rockford pushes it well, perfect in fact for the box it’s in. When I’m bumping hard it’s obvious the sub needs a little more room to work and if it got any more power it would just be too much for the qbomb box. Thankfully this is only a temp setup to break in the sundown. When everything gets here, the sub will be in a custom built ported box built to the specs of the sub in the back of my focus st. From what I’ve heard already, it’s going to destroy my car. This sa-10 is definitely the most quality sub I have ever owner. Sundown speaks for itself when it comes to quality. The sub doesn’t come in a flashy box, there’s no stupid plastic cover surrounding the magnet to make it look bigger than it is. Everything is open and exposed, hiding nothing. This is a fairly entry level sundown sub and I can guarantee it’ll kick harder and sound better than most any kicker or Rockford sub you can buy. If you want good bass in a small and are willing to pay a little more, this is the way to go.

50 Watts is impressive
The best $200 you will spend on your car audio system for sure. I have my in a 0.7qf sealed Belva box since it’s in the back of my truck and it completely overpowers the rest of the system... ON 50 WATTS! Not 500, 50. Im borrowing my friends old classic 2x25 watt amp and have it bridged at 4Ohms and it slaps. I can’t wait to have it up at 700 watts 4Ohms when my amp comes in. My favorite thing tho is the sound quality. It can hit all the low note so cleanly. I’m more on a sound quality guy over earth shattering bass but this sub is loud and super high quality. Very impressed and super satisfying to listen to.

Awesome sub!
This sub is absolutely awesome. I was trying to decide between this and a Fosgate t010d2 and I'm sure the other sub would have been great but this thing is crazy. You struggle to pull it out of the box (Because of the weight) and when you get it out you look at the magnet on the back and you're just like....woah. This thing is beefy. I'm giving it about 900 watts daily and it just takes it, it hasn't even ever gotten warm. It hits the lows amazingly as well as the not as lows...all around I love it.

if you want deep lows I recommend the 12 and up
This 10 is a beast, Sundown all the way. I'm pushing it 800 watts rms in a spec built slot ported box tuned to 33hz in the trunk of a 3 series bimmer and it's loud and clean, even some notes cause slight vision blur, Ive owned w7s in the passed and these subs can hang and are way cheaper. I'm ordering a 2nd one and upgrading to a Sundown SCV 2000D, if you want deep lows in recommend the 12 and up, woofers etc is amazing and fast shipping.

Love power. Great small airspace application
Awesome. I've been building systems on and off since '97. Buy these if you have small airspace. I put a pair under the seats with some custom box work in an 05 ram. I'm running them sealed , .70 cft air space. I have a fosgate prime 750x1 monobloxk running each sub at 1ohm. They handle the power 3/4 turned up on the first weekend. Magnets are huge so you have to have the room in your box. Great customer service from sundown too. These are 2 ohms per coil and they are dual voice coil. If I did it again, I could save money by buying 2 4ohm subs and wiring to 1 ohm , powering by a skar 1500.1 and I would have saved $150+-. I'm shocked how well these are made. They have to be near 25 pounds each.
