Great quality
I bought this basking tray years ago and it's still holding up.

Spacious and sturdy
We put this on our 20 gallon tank. Our turtle’s shell is approximately 5” in diameter. He struggled to get in the first couple of days but finally figured out a method and now he loves it. I will say that I think this is more ideal for 29 gallon tank or bigger. With a 20 gallon you can’t fill the tank with enough water to meet the recommended fill line on the ramp; this results in the ramp being somewhat steep. Overall though, it’s a really study and well made product.

Great to expand terrarium but...
I have a mixed review on this:It is a good size. However, it would be nice if the opening was a bit bigger. The ramp cracked a bit when I put it together, but maybe that was just me being too heavy handed. (Though I was pretty gentle.)On the subject of the ramp, it is way too short. In order for the water to come up high enough, the tank would need to be filled all the way.I made some modifications to extend the ramp for my turtle.I do suggest getting the extenders. If your tank is the correct size for a turtle, it will be too wide to set the box on top. This is nice to give my turtle an extra basking area and give him more space to roam. I did not put the platform underneath because I didn't want to take up any of his swimming area.I also have a large dock for him to bask on.Overall, this is nice. Just be prepared to make modifications.I used plastic aquarium grid dividers and zip ties to extend the ramp. (I drilled holes in the ramp to attach them.)This is what I used:https://a.co/d/g80kDul

World’s greatest aquatic pet turtle product!!!
Finally, a company that has made the world’s greatest aquatic pet turtle product!!! It shows how scientifically advanced we have become, only you have to supply the lamp. My turtles were at first shy of it, but it only took a matter of minutes and less than a day for them to start taking turns climbing up into the enclosed platform to bask. The clear top is movable with ridges to clamp several lamps, from both sides, and a metal grid door on top that can open if you need to insert food, etc. into it. Everything is made super easy. I have five mapping turtles. The size is great for them and the topper fits on my 37 gallons, near perfectly. Make sure you measure the size before purchasing. The only natural setback is that the turtles can get spooked from the clear plastic and hop quickly back into the water. I suggest covering the clear plastic with plants or other décor to provide them with a more hidden environment and hence they are less likely to get spooked, but also less visible when they are in there. Overall, it is a great product for aquatic turtles!!!

best basking platform!
Mine didn't come broken at all - I was worried about other reviewers saying that the little plastic top came cracked, but mine came decently packed with more bubble wrap than I've ever seen in my life and a lot of packaging paper stuffed to fill the box. I also had a set of markers and pencils that came in the same box as well, so who knows, maybe those two extra items saved the plastic's life. I have a two year old eastern river cooter who will probably outgrow this as she gets older, but for now it looks to be the perfect size for her (as of this review, I've installed it not even ten minutes ago during a water change, and she's snobbishly glaring at it from her perch on the other side of the tank). Looking at the pictures, I was worried that the basking light would be too close to her and potentially burn her - the main reason why I've always been hesitant to have those floating perches with a high water level. Rest assured, it's roomier than it looks in pictures. Looks to be about nine inches from the bottom of the platform to the top of the cage. The one con for me is that it doesn't span across my tank's width, but that rests with me and my impulsive itchy buying fingers without first checking the tank's width compared to the box. It's sturdy enough to be attached to just one side of the tank, though, and empty space it leaves is convenient for me to stick the filters and heater in and leave the other side empty.I'll add photos after the water has cleared after the change, and/or update the review as my opinion changes.EDIT 1/10/17. Still no pictures of this tank until after the filter has done its work, but Bella has begun to use and she loves it! She doesn't use the bottom platform to rest against as she has another preferred resting spot, and it kept falling off so I went ahead and removed it. I'm not going to take a star off for that, as it was honestly probably me putting the bottom platform on wrong ( when it comes to technical build-y things, my mama always said I'm a few crayons short of a happy meal ). She kept ramming into one side of the platform while inside for some reason, perhaps to test the structural integrity of her new home. It held up (I was worried because it doesn't quite fit the tank) and she stopped ramming into it so I suppose she found the structure sound enough for her. She likes to climb up and peer over the plastic at me. She loves it, and my sisters and mom love seeing her peeking over the edge at them.
