One of the best purchases I have made in a long time. Here in central Texas we have been in a drought for about five years. It has gotten so bad that there is a no watering at all order in effect. I live at a lake and the past several months have brought our lake high enough that we should be able to water intermittently. Micro drip irrigation is a concept that I have considered for many years and this year I decided to buy this for myself for mother’s day. I have an in ground sprinkler system that I have not been able to use at all for two years now. Even if I decided to turn it on, the neighbors would not be very happy with me nor will that water company. I currently use vegetables and some flowers as my landscaping. There are several reasons that this kit is a good starting point for all your watering needs.1. This system is versatile to a point that once established you can change where the water goes, add to the system, make changes where ever you need, and is what I call idiot proof. Even if you make a mistake, it can easily be corrected with little effort.2. Affordability. Even though I have made several purchases to add to my original starter’s kit, I still have less than one hundred dollars in my system.3. All your watering needs are taken care of with little effort. The ½ soaker type hose can also be tapped into to add additional watering connections. The ½ Inch black hose carries the water wherever you need it. There are drips that can be set up at the base of the plant so that just the plant gets the water and no water is wasted. Micro sprayers in a half circle and full circle can cover a larger area all at one time and so on. There are so many options and the pieces needed are low cost and almost full proof.4. Not only can others not see that I am watering, except for the fact that my grass may be dying but my vegetables, herbs, and flowers are growing like crazy, the amount of water required in minimal. Not a drop of water is wasted. Turn the water on and let it do its thing for thirty minutes or so depending on the amount of surface area that you watering, then just turn the water off.I have doubted some of my purchases in the past but this is not one of them. I will continue to add to my micro drip even after the drought. I never have to worry if I missed plants while watering or that I might not have laid down enough water.

Good kit for adding or just a small install. I paid much less than the current price because this kit had been opened or spilled and needs the goof plugs, which was NOT noted in the description.All in all, it was a good kit which also did not come within 2 days.Fakespot did warn me that this seller has had problems.I love the pail and its auto-dispense of the tubing. Worth it for that alone.

This is the kit to get for the Rain Bird drip system whether for the expansion or your main kit. I actually got this after I purchased Rain Bird SWDMSPKIT Drip Irrigation Spot Watering Manifold on a Spike Kit because I ran of parts I needed. This does come with a hose connector while the other one comes with a manifold but I recommend Orbit 67000 Apollow 8 Manifold which has 8 connections that are individually adjustable and the cap screws on making a lot easier to disconnect a line and plug it. But between the two kits you'll have enough parts for several systems so extra manifolds will come in handy.They tried to make this like a toolbox but it does not work well. The pieces fit in a divider at the top but one bump and they will go flying into the ground/bush/plants/grass. I use the pail for something else and put everything into an easy to carry bag so that I can go from one line to another making adjustments.The kit comes with250 feet of 1/4 inch tubinghose adapter (female fits on male end of hose) with filter10 stakes that clip over the hose or connector10 bug caps (these require a short piece of hose fit over the emitter but are easy to slip on)10 0.5 GPH blue20 1.0 GPH black (I used these the most)10 2.0 GPH red20 Ts with one barbed end20 couplings10 plugs for capping a lineIt came with a tool to help attach the pieces to the hose but I personally prefer my fingers.I use a lighter to quickly warm the end of the hose before slipping on to the device.This is a very inexpensive way to setup a watering system. We planted a lot of new trees and other plants. Now all I need to do is connect the hose and set the timer!
