HHIP 3402-0312 12 x 9 x 8" Slotted Angle Plate, Webbed

Well packaged and protected. Square. Sized as advertised. Should work out nicely.

Not for heavy duty applications but works well for light machining operations. Plan on spending some time deburring it, as it has sharp enough edges to draw blood.

Angle plate works great. The plate is surprisingly light for iron, it must be some light weight cast iron so don't know how strong it would be. I would not use it for anything that would take a large shock load like hammering or banging around on it. I checked it with a machinist square and it was right on. Slotted holes spacing fit the T-slots in my Bridgeport. Overall works great for what I do with it.

Packaged ok, no rust. 90 degrees close enough for my home use. I was able to file in one edge to be able to stand block on it and be 90 degrees to the two larger faces. Razor sharp edges all around require chamfering, but with that said still a good value

The first one I ordered was out of spec by as much a .040" on some faces and both tertiary faces were out of square. I got a replacement after calling the company to see if there was any reasonable expectation that a replacement would be within the .002" stated specification. They said that wasn't normal and to try again....The 2nd one was only .026" (still wildly unacceptable) out of spec on one face but yet again, the tertiary faces weren't square (completely useless). The grinds were visably inadequate in places. It's also worth noting, the replacement had clearly already been returned before and this time had worse packaging. I have no doubt someone else will get the two I've returned. These have no place in a machine shop.

Great bargain for a fixturing plate. It's soft enough to add tapped holes easily, but still a pretty nicely ground finish and for half the cost of the same thing at MSC, etc al. These are cast iron, and soft enough to deform a little from handling. I had to file off a high spot to get it sitting perfectly on granite after it was set down hard on one of its corners, but that's just cast iron.

I have been using this non stop for the past few days. The gussets give this the rigidity one needs in a milling machine. I am quite happy with the purchase.Machining and the finish is a little rough but it is Chinese with the associated price tag. I took a file and some sandpaper to it. Fifteen minutes of work and it was okay.
