midiplus Origin 62 61 Keys USB MIDI Keyboard Controller

I'm using this in my studio and it works nice have no problem's with it but I never herd of midiplus origin62 so I'm still skeptical but it works well and I'm well please with the results as far as tech support can't rate it because I never needed support from this company. My rating is based on how I've used it in the last couple of days even though I've had it for a while. It's convenient and easy to use.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this controller's interface. The knobs and sliders felt quite nice, especially the mod and pitch wheels. That said, I unfortunately can't say the same for the keys and drum pads. The keys felt very squishy and had remarkably poor velocity recognition, even after fiddling with the built-in velocity curves. No matter what I tried, the keys refused to recognize lighter keystrokes at all, and stronger hits tended to spike to a very high volume. The pads felt like they shared this problem to an extent, but were able to recognize softer hits more reliably. Also noteworthy, this keyboard does not have 62 keys, it's a standard 61-key controller. You'd be hard-pressed to find the features this keyboard has for a similar price point, but in the end I shelled out a little more money for a higher-quality 49-key controller with more accurate control. This is a great little keyboard. It is light weight and quite functional. I have to practice piano everyday and i was going to be away on vacation for a week so I bought this 61 key Midi that I use with my Macbook Pro and Ableton Software. While I am very used to my digital piano's semi weighted keys this is a very good substitution, that allows me to take it virtually anywhere. It is also quite durable. I spilled a drink on it and thought that was it. I hung it out and let all of the liquid drain from it cleaned it up and it works fine. I love that it has many independent controls, there are some midi devices that don't have an on and off switch.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is not pre configured to work directly with Ableton like the Novation Midi 61 Keyboard, which is not really a huge issue because I can create templates that mirror the presets. I would definatley recomend this for musicians who are on a budget and expanding their studio. I am certainly enjoying this keyboard.

Love this keyboard controller I have several more expensive midi devices and this one is just as good if not better I use it with studio one 5 and ableton and it works great with both

Everything about it is great. Just didn’t like that it wasn’t shipped in shipping brown box. It was exposed & could have been stolen due to viability. Other than that, got my money worth.

I've been MIDI-ing since the days of Prophets and Jupiters, Emulators & DMXs, and I thought I knew what I was getting into. But this machine is a real stumper! The manual is as indecipherable as the the keyboard is unintuitive.... and the cryptically arbitrary spells one needs to absorb to allow for programing this thing is beyond me. Also, I didn't think to check if it had aftertouch. (Well, it doesn't, so if that's on your list, move on.)

Over good keyboard. The touch velocity could improve a little but its a great keyboard overall.
