Discerning the Voice of God: How to recognize When God Speaks by Priscilla Shirer (2006) Paperback

This book was good food for the soul, as women in Christ we juggle so much and just sometimes we struggle with at times if we really hear the voice of God. Often times I can find myself in that situation, but after reading this it really opened my eyes to so much. I also got the workbook to along with it. I can say you can never learn too much about God and what he require for his children to know about him and what HE wants us to know about our purpose. I will recommend this book to anyone, it's a great book and a must have for woman or man. It was a blessing to me.

An awesome reminder ofthe communication necessary for any relationship to thrive, but especially for a relationship with God to be fruitful. I liked the way the author presented the work with simplicity and style. The content served to reinforce the principles of the work by the Blackaby's some years ago. I would recommend this book to anyone who want to walk more closely with the Lord. The rating comes from the ease of reading, understanding and application of the work.

Great book- but I wanted the workbook!It's very hard to figure out the book from the workbook on this website.It would help if they described the book or workbook so you would know what you are ordering.

I was unfamiliar with the author and this book, but I though I would give it a read. I was pleasantly surprised by the overarching look at the way God speaks. Using various Scriptural examples and personal stories, Shirer helped boost my confidence in hearing the Lord's voice. Each chapter focuses on a different aspect of the voice of God and can be read separately from one another. It is a comprehensive and uncomplicated read I would recommend to anyone wanting greater assurance in hearing and understanding the voice of God.

I did this study with my Women of Purpose group at church and I looked forward to each night's lesson. It was packed with real life examples from Mrs. Shirer and it made yo feel like this writer is human too, she knows exactly what I am going through and the struggles i have with hearing God's voice. My church group had some awesome discussions behind this study. It was a great lesson and I would love to study any of Mrs. Shirer's lessons!!!

Better than I could have ever imagined.....all though out the book it spoke to me exactly where I am, waiting and trusting in God for the promise of a miracle He made to me 3-5 yrs ago. Still Waiting!! I ordered the Kendell version, but then order the paperback version so I could write down notes in it's margin! Feeling truly Blessed. Thanks so much!! <3

A lot of the material in the workbook was repetitive, but there were also quite a few good exercises and questions. I didn't feel it was worth the price.
