Favorite out of 5 I tried! Overall best out there
i Realized after using a month that I was hasty and unfair with my negative review of it a couple days in. I’m new to humidifiers and had unreal expectations. I purchased 4 different brands/models ranging in price $60-$100 and this one is my favorite.Mainly because of its tremendous output.600ml per hour!!! That’s double allll the others I looked at and or bought. No matter how fancy, expensive, or feature packed they all maxed out at 280-300mlAnd that’s the most important feature when choosing one. Second is always get too filled! I tried a bottom fill one and it was a huge messy pain.3rd is water capacity. Get as big as you can so you aren’t constantly filling it. This one has the minimum I would purchase, 5.5l and I refill it once a day running it 24hrs straight on high. That is my only complaint on this one, I wish it was at least 6liter capacity. One of my favorite unique features for this one is the large digital display. I like being able to see its levels in the dark or far away.I also love the sleek modern design because it’s in a dressy room. It looks like a fancy expensive contraption.I highly recommend this one. I was amazed that even the 7.5l tower humidifiers listed at $120-$160 still only had HALF the mist output of this onethis one is best for larger areas, like your main house area. Mine is in my great room and regulates about 600 sf. It’s not ideal for a bedroom because it does make noise. And you don’t really need a high output one in a 12x13 room anyway. If you have a super size bedroom and you sleep with the tv on or music then you could use this one. If your bedroom is average size then get the tbi pro 6L top fill amazon has listed. It’s what’s in our 12x13 bedroom, it’s max output is 300ml per hr on high but that’s plenty for a 12 by 13 room.Lastly and very important!! Make sure you lift the water bucket out of it and clean under it every 2weeks and always use filtered water in any humidifier. If it ever starts maker more noise than normal don’t panic, it’s just dirty. Clean it out good with Clorox water. If you ever let it run completely out of water, lift the bucket out and pour enough water in the base to raise the floater then put the bucket back filled. That keeps it from struggling and sounding like a tractor when you start it back.

Quiet, works great, no white residue
I've had this humidifier for about a month now and so far it's been great for keeping my 625 sq ft apartment in NYC at a comfortable 30-35% humidity this winter. I do have to run it constantly (on medium) to keep it at that level since the communal heat here is always on full blast and I can't control it. I have an external temperature/humidity gauge and before using this the humidity reading in here was about 15%. It took about 48 hours to get the humidity levels to where I wanted them, and, as some other people have said, the humidity gauge on the unit itself is off (it overestimates by about 10% on mine).I really like that you can remove the inside bucket to take away and fill up on it's own without having to bring the whole unit with you. I had a different, less expensive, model from this same company previously. It also worked wonderfully, but it wasn't a top fill bucket like this one is and this is MUCH easier to refill when needed. I fill it all the way up about twice a day.I haven't had any of the white residue people are talking about and I've used both filtered and unfiltered tap water in this thing with no difference. I think that must totally depend on what's in your water where you live.

It has almost all the features I was looking for.
Top fill, large capacity, easy to view and use, warm or cool mist, and adjustable humidity. One of the main features I was shopping for is the use of essential oils. It's useless. The pad just sits there, behind where the mist comes out. The mist needs to blow through the pad somehow. A definite design flaw.I would prefer they make a unit in which oils can be added directly to the water, as you can with ultrasonic diffusers. If it can be done with those, why can't they do the same thing with a big machine like this one?And I wanted it in black but that isn't available.Other than that, I love this machine.I have a weather station in my bedroom and the humidity display on this machine is very accurate. It puts out a lot of mist and covers my large bedroom and it's extremely quiet.I used the warm mist the first time I ran it and it put out very warm steam within seconds. Some reviewers said theirs didn't heat up but mine definitely did.My last humidifier had an essential oil tray on the inside of the tank. It held very little oil and melted within a few days, rendering it useless. A few months after the warranty ran out, it wouldn't turn on at all. I hope this one lasts longer but I did get the 3 years extended warranty just in case.Adding this: I wondered why I couldn't find my review so I took a look and Here It Is. Still sitting here. LOLNot submitted. Ooops. My bad. It's All Good because now I can add that it's worked great all this time. I use it all night every night and for a couple of hours during the day when the grandbaby and I nap. It's been very easy to keep clean. It has been very consistent. and problem-free except for the essential oil problem I mentioned previously.I keep a 1-gallon pitcher in the bathroom and fill the pitcher from the bathtub faucet because that's much faster and more convenient than lugging it from the kitchen sink. I'm not dumb nor lazy but it still took me about a week to figure out that this was much more efficient. Duh. LOLThe ONLY thing I want to see in future models is a backlit remote control. I do NOT like having to turn on a light at night so I can see the dang remote to see what button to push, or just keep pushing buttons until I hit the right one. I don't think that's too much to ask.And I want one in black. By Christmas. :)I'm definitely going to order one of these for my Grandson's room. It's that good.
