What is the difference this and the premium 6 inch boot? also, are the sizes stated in men or women’s? i noticed an m beside the sizes.

Yes, M does refer to the Medium width. I disagree with Kelli, though, when it comes to the “Premium” comparison. Yes, there is a steel-toe version of this Pro boot, but the “Premium” is another Timberland boot entirely. I own both and here are the differences:

—Tongue: The Premium has a single piece of leather while the Pro has a leather exterior with padded cloth interior. 
—Lining: Both boots offer 200g of insulation. The Premium has cloth lining in the toe half and leather lining in the heel half. The Pro has a cloth lining throughout. 
—Width: The Premium is a bit more slim-fitting than the Pro. I happen to prefer a 9W in the Premium and a 9.5M in the Pro. 
—Laces: The Premium has thinner laces that are not as easy to tighten or keep tied. 
—Cushion: The Premium is less cushioned than the Pro. This is particularly true since the Premium has a stiff rubber-like midsole and the Pro has a foam one. 
—Tread: The Pro has thicker tread aka deeper lugs. 
—Weight: The Pro is a lighter boot.

Timberland is known for its iconic Premium boot in Wheat, but if I had to choose between the two, I would pick the Pro. It is more cushioned, has better grip, quality materials and is often cheaper than the Premium.

i am usually a women's size 9 in shoes but when i look at the size chart for these boots and i measure my foot it says i am a size 7. what size am i?

I think you have to choose the size from the shoes company, because sometimes any companies has different charts. So for this kind of shoes, you may choose size 7. But you have to make sure yourself :)

I typically wear a boys 4.5 but need the steel toe to be covered by work. Would a size 6 be the equivalent?

I was wondering about the same thing , I ‘m usually a 6 in women’s shoe .Considering  a 6.5 because  I will wear thicker socks with these boots.

Hola. es ancha la punta? cuánto mide? tengo problemas con uñas encarnadas y quiero asegurarme de que me quedará cómoda. gracias

La punta no es ancha, es perfecta y se amolda muy bien al pie, queda muy natural y lo puedes usar para salir, y por las uñas no te preocupes porque no te pegan los dedos a la parte de arriba, saludos!
