So happy that this product woks in my Stihl Hard Hat Advance X-Vent Helmet, the back of the helmet has plastic squares for these metal prongs to plug into them.

Worthless
I am generally a fan of petzl and was excited to have this. However it deemed to be utterly useless. Overall it just got in my way and provided no usable shade. It is constantly blowing around and getting caught up. To use this effectively, there needs to be zero wind and you need to stay stationary.

This works great for neck sun and debris protection. Easy install on Vertex helmet.
