I put them down myself; they are very easy to do, and they look nice even though this stairwell is a back stairwell that rarely gets used.

With grandkids running around in stockings on our wood floors, the stair steps they run up and down when they’re over are accidents waiting to happen! These nifty and inexpensive stair treads have been an ideal solution. Their color complimented the wood color and no problem with adhering without sticky tape. A great solution at a very reasonable price!

These treads are nice. Soft, good cushion and should be easy to vacuum and wash as needed. The rubber backing holds it just enough to not slide on the floor, but not quite enough grip to hold it in place over time. I secured it with carpet tape and so far so good. We use these in our 5th wheel trailer to help make our dogs more confident going up and down the narrow steps into the bedroom. They are nicely sized for our steps and the color works with the interior of our trailer. Worth it so far! A little thicker than I wanted, but they do the job. Just be aware if you are looking to have these secured, you will need a little carpet tape to help. But that's an easy fix!

Bought these carpeting stair treads for my low and wide windowsills. Our cats love to perch in the windows and these work beautifully to protect the wood. Easy to clean with a quick vacuuming. They lay flat and the pale gray color coordinates with the dove grey pain on our walls. Cats like them too, keeps their little tootsie from getting chilled in the winter.

I have 2 big dogs and one was scared silly of using the wood stairs. He'd slipped and fallen a few times and the more nervous he got, the faster he tried to get down. and that just compounded the problem. My stairs are not very deep so I needed something smaller than the 8-9" standard depth size. I have to adjust these now and then but they stay in place fairly well with the rubber backing. My home is quite old and I did not want to damage the finish on the oak treads so tacking or taping were not an option. My dog is now able to get up and down and is no longer paralyzed with fear. I'd recommend these.

They stay in place. The problem I have is they collect lint and it's very hard to remove from the material that they used. Vacuuming and washing machine will not get the lint off.

These are well made and are nice and plush. They won't move if you step directly on top of them. However they will move it you hit the edge of it with the toe of your shoe. May want to use "hold it" tape for carpet if this is a concern.

I got these a few month ago when we bought our house. While they do work and make going up and down stairs a bit safer, the are not as anti slip as they claim. My SIL told me about done little glue dots type thing you can get to put on the underside to make it more secure ( I haven’t purchased these yet). The color is nice, I got gray cause that’s what we thought the upstairs carpet was, it’s not, but still nice. Our stairs are kinda narrow and these fit well, but definitely measure and count yours before buying.
