We have a 2008 Chevy Silverado long bed truck. After deciding we wanted a tonneau cover, the hunt was on to find the balance between price, quality, good reviews, etc, and pickings without crazy prices are somewhat slim for the long bed trucks! I'd first say that the seller has been great. The item was shipped and arrived quickly, but there was damage inside of the box. They took care of everything right away and were very communicative for the whole process, so thanks to CFD Deisel. Once we had all of the parts with no damage, installation was very easy. We did have to do it twice, because one of the straps wasn't in the header rail and can only be installed before it's connected to the side rails. That said, everything lined up well (and I'm pretty sure our bed isn't entirely square, despite the clean carfax report..!), and the second time around was super fast and easy for installation! We have a spray in bedliner, and the rails and clamp mounts tightened up just fine. The tailgate is super tight. We actually have to open it to snap down the end of the tonneau cover. I don't know if that will change over time, but I'm certainly not complaining about a seal being too good! When we were looking, we did decide we both not only liked the look of the over the rail style, but also figured it would probably seal weather out better than the low profile/inside the rail ones. We haven't had a good rain yet, but it sure does look like it's going to do well. The cross bars line up well and seem sturdy. They are spaced just right to support the tonneau without making it hard to unroll. They actually do a good job of falling right into place on the rails to keep the tonneau straight and centered while you're unrolling it.tl;dr: We'll see about durability over time, but, with extensive research prior to purchasing, I don't anticipate it being an issue. The seller/customer service was Great. The tonneau fits well and is tight. I've include two photos - one of the whole thing and the sheer length of the bed, and one trying to show how well the rail seats to the top of the bed side.

Easy to roll up and durable

This product is the second one I have purchsed for my Chevy trucks. I guess that will tell you a lot about TruXport covers.This is so easy to setup and install, and they are right there to help you by phone..... if you need any that is. Nice people!The first one I owned I had for almost 3 years and it did very well and still looked good after that time. That one was for the 6.6 ft bed and this one is for the 5.8ft. bed Chevy. The one thing I do recommend is that may wish to buy with your cover some of the manufacturer's special Protectant Spray for it. The soft vinyl cover is not good with all types of supposedly "protectors" like Armoral or such like that. Many "protectors" build up on the surface, are hard to remove and clean: they don't look to good after a while..... not sure otherwise which to buy. I just tried out McGuire's Vinyl Protectant Spray today and it looks very good, but it also brand new too. Why use it? Not just for the protection and new look, which is a great thing too.... but to sort of seal up the leatherette creases and irregular surface that the vinyl has in it's surface. Without some sort of sealant the dust and wet dirt tend to be very hard to clean out of those fine ridges and dimples. It does look very good, and for the price..... this one is hard to beat. The latching system is simple and almost fool proof. Nothing with humans if really fool proof, right?Buy with confidence and enjoy!

Easy to install and a quality product.

This was purchased to replace a dealer installed cover that had worn out. The Tuxedo cover was easy to install and frankly looks better than the much more expensive dealer installed cover. We spent some extra time on alignment only to find out that my truck bed after two collisions was slightly out of alignment. The cover however looks fitted, square and tight. The clamps supplied were easy to use and better that than the dealer originals. The seal strip at the tailgate is much more robust. I have had it on for more than a month and it still looks great.
