As a blogger who uses this daily when working on my laptop, I am beyond pleased.
So I bought this out of sheer desperation because every time I sat down at the kitchen table to write my reviews or set up blog posts, my dogs went nuts wanting attention. My sitting at the table was the equivalent to a mom on the phone - no one wants your attention all day long, but the moment you try to accomplish something they can't wait. Yet when I sat on the bed and tried to work or read, the dogs would usually lay down and fall asleep. Thus began my search for a tray/table I could use on my bed.I needed a bed tray/table that:1. Folded up for easy storage.2. Was wide enough to hold my 16" laptop and trackball mouse.3. Had a lip to prevent said laptop from sliding off.4. Was wide enough to accommodate my full-figured thighs.5. Was high enough that it would clear my knees when I sat in the lotus position.6. Was AFFORDABLE without being cheaply made.Looking at the reviews for the various bed/tray tables on Amazon, #6 seemed to be the biggest sticking point on almost every item I looked at. Soooo, I took a chance on this one figuring that at less than twenty bucks, if I had to send it back I wouldn't be out too much money while I waited on the return process (and Amazon's is actually relatively painless compared to most I've dealt with).I have used the Winsome Wood Bed Tray for just over 10 months and am quite happy with it. Admittedly I questioned how long it would last considering the white tray material seems rather unimpressive. But I use this product daily and for several hours each day as I spend a minimum of 3 hours blogging and I have no complaints about it. I have actually been quite pleased with how well it met my needs and how well it has held up.I should note that I did have to make one modification to use it and that had more to do with my laptop than the tray itself. The fact that the “wooden” edges are slightly raised is one of the main reasons I went with this particular product. I wanted that "lip" to help keep my laptop from sliding off easily. But because my laptop's power cord connects on the left side, I had to put a couple of coasters under the back of my laptop to raise it just enough so that the cord isn't obstructed by the tray's side (which would be at a forced angle that could ruin the power cord's connection). If my laptop's power cord connected in the back or on the right side, this would not have been an issue at all.As for one of the complaints I’ve seen, this is a FOLDABLE tray so if you SLIDE it when moving it rather than LIFT it when moving it, you do risk the legs FOLDING in and the tray COLLAPSING. I’ve done it a few times and you know what, that’s on me NOT the tray. I’d be far more upset if I had to fight the legs to fold them in every time I put it up rather than getting annoyed with myself the few times I forget to lift and move.Overall I am beyond pleased with this purchase because it met all my needs and is still fully functional almost a year later.

Broke Student Table
What's a person to do when one does not own a kitchen table and chairs? My answer to that is to eat in the bed. That is what I have been doing since getting my own place during college. I have little to no money, so what little money I have, I would rather spend on beer and food. There is no room in the budget to buy a kitchen dining set. I have brought this mentality with me to professional school. My apartment currently sits bare with only the essentials; a bed, a tv, and dishes/utensils. It is a very minimalistic lifestyle, mainly out of laziness (not wanting to move stuff and making my parents pay for it), but also because I feel like I do not need many things to make me happy. But there is a problem I do face everyday when eating in bed. A one letter word that haunts Monica Geller, CRUMBS. Ugh they bother me too when I am trying to sleep. Rolling around in filth is probably no okay, so I decided two of these doohickies (two because what if I have a guest and they get hungry?).Now the product is awesome. I saw on other's reviews that said these are flimsy and were broken easily. What were ya'll doing with them? Smashing them on each other like John Cena against HBK?? I have used mine so many times and there is not even a single scratch on it. I even brought it out to the park the other day to use as a table and I am pretty sure it was kicked over a few times, yet it is still alive. It catches all of my cumby crumbs so I don't roll in them anymore at night. The only negative I see in it, is its height. Don't get me wrong, I like short things, but when I'm sitting in bed, I would like it to come up a little more. That is a preference of mine so I won't downgrade my rating for it. Overall, it's awesome and probably Monica approved.TLDR;Pros-Works as a table when you are poor-Durable-Easy to clean-Portable-Catches CrumbsCons-Too Short (Not a good enough of a reason to not give it 5-stars)

Generously Sized Tray!
I purchased two of these Winsome Wood Bed Trays to make the majority of my and my husband's computer use while upstairs on our bed more comfortable. It serves this purpose exceptionally well. There is plenty of room on the trays for our computers with room to spare in each direction.I also wanted this to serve as an occasional tray for breakfast/meals on the bed. It does indeed have sufficient space for a plate, cutlery, and a glass of juice/coffee. The surface is slippery so a skid free mat added on top would help. It would be a simple and inexpensive addition. It lacks the secure cup holder option that some other trays on the market offer, but I avoided that option because it was not the focus of our reason for purchase. We are not disappointed. It has plenty of space to fit comfortably over your legs. Even my husband's. It opens and closes easily for storage. The reason for the four star rating other than a five star, is that there are a few areas that could have been sanded more efficiently. It's a little rough in some places. Since I don't particularly like splinters or snags, I fear the possibility of one. I figured in fairness it deserves a four star rating. Even with the more economically friendly price in comparison to others, the rough areas are hard for me to overlook. It would have had a solid five star rating if not for that.In any event, the tray is a great value overall. We're happy with this purchase, and although it could have more TLC taken in the sanding, it isn't so bad that it's a deal breaker.
