POWER PYE ELECTRONICS ABS 3 In 1 Dehumidifier, Clothes Dryer and Air Purifier (12 L/Day, White)

22 Oct 2022No frills dehumidifier. Room size: 10 x 13. My room had a relative humidity of 85% at nights. I got this dehumidifier and set it at a required humidity of 50%. Well, it does function as advertised and draws in large amounts of water. It could not get my room to 50%, i believe mostly due to leaks in the windows (yeah, you have to run this unit in a closed room) but i am happy to state that it always kept my room humidity less than 70% at nights (yeah.. 70% might sound not so good, but compared to 85% its a lot better). The water tank with a capacity of 4 litres fills up in about 8 hours. This unit emits warm air while functioning , which is pretty normal. It increases room temperature by 2 or 3 degrees. Its best advised to use this unit at nights along with an airconditioner. Do not set the desired humidity to less than 50% , its not advisable. Check online sources, too less humidity causes viruses in air to flourish, too much humidity causes dust mites to flourish. Online sources claim good humidity to be between 40% to 60%, but i would say do not go below 50%. Humidity in room occasionally touching 55% is apparently good as it automatically discharges static electricity at this level. Finally, this device works as advertised, i did not bother using their app as i did not find it necessary. Extended warranty support by onsitego was another reason for me to buy this device, no other dehumidifier in this range had their support. The build quality turned out to be better than how it looks in the pictures. The manufacturer pasted warning labels in various places asking customers not to use the device soon after delivery, so unbox the device and place it where you want to use it unplugged for a few hours after delivery.Edited: 2 Jan 2024Device still working. Definitely exceeded my expectations. I am setting it at the least humidity level now as it anyway only reduces 10% from my room and keeps humidity at a comfortable level all night. The average humidity is around 70% in the room while not using this device. When i switch it on , along with AC, the room humidity is very stable around 50-60%. Definitely better than 70%. Don't expect this device to reduce 40 or 50% from existing levels., its not such a heavy duty device. But it gets the job done. I am looking forward to Powerpye producing dehumidifiers that look like split ac units. That would definitely be a good thing as this device occupies some floor space.

Well thought and well built product. Does it's job very well!Wifi integration makes it easier to operate from anywhere.It would have been great if they provided the drain tube alongwith the package.

The media could not be loaded. I live in Visakhapatnam which is a coastal area with having high humidity levels for most of the time. When I recently moved from Mysore to vizag, i was only thinking about how to solve high humidity issue. not just for a room but for a whole house of a size 60*40ft. Most of the air conditioners in India are built to remove excess heat and they work pretty well and cost effective but they are not designed for coastal areas where humidity is the main issue. The cost of removing moisture thru air conditioner is going to be very expensive and waste of energy resources. So i want to address humidity issue thru a dehumidifier and purchased this item . Iam writing this review after one month usageThis little box is a magic. It was able to extract 3-4 litres of water in 5hr running time when the humidity level is 80percent outside. That's a very decent removal of moisture and i can feel a significant drop in humility levels inside the house. But running the dehumidifier alone is increasing the air temperature by 1-2 C. So, air conditioner is a must to maintain the temperature . This unit operating at very low noise, i can hardly hear any. Has wheels, so can easily move in a room. This also comes with continuous draining.Energy consumption of this unit is pretty decent as mentioned by the manufacturer but I yet to measure.Overall i definitely recommend this product.

I was very suspicious and reluctant to buy this product as I was not aware of the brand or the functioning of this or a similar product. But, I am so glad that I purchased this one - it is reliable, effective and does exactly what I had bought this for.My house walls would get damp and moist in winter and rainy seasons; the little sunshine from time to time wasn't sufficient to dry the walls fast enough. This was causing mold formation, stale smell and build up of dust mites all over the house. I bought this product, and it was effective from day-1. This dehumidifier removes water from the air inside the house and hence reduces (almost eliminates) the dampness inside the house. I don't see mold or dust mites anymore.I leave it ON all day, and the auto control turns it ON and OFF as required, maintaining the humidity inside at the desired level. I didn't notice big difference in the electricity bill - so that's nice.Noise level is bearable (as much as a normal fan I would say), and it is really portable.Just a note - this is a dehumidifier only, and it does not warm the air or heat the room. It is supposed to double up as an air-purifier, but it doesn't include the air filter - need to purchase that separately. But I am sure the air-purifier will function as well as the dehumidifier does.

unable to set humidity, which keep changing after adjusted to particular level. Then called customer service number provided in warranty book for support and he gives another number contact. But that number is not reachable.

I purchased both the 12L and 30L dehumidifiers from Powerpye, and I couldn't be more satisfied. These units have completely resolved the moisture and mold issues in my apartment.
