This book has lots of history on the many guitarists that shaped pretty much everyone's playing style, as well as providing specific examples to listen to. these examples will help you play the licks and style you want.

This book is a great resource for learning short licks in the styles of many great blues, jazz, and rock players. There's enough licks for each guitar player featured that you can get a feel for their style and then incorporate it into your own playing. The bios of each player are also nice, and there's a music theory breakdown of each lick too. I would definitely recommend this book if you're wanting to get a feel for how to play licks in the styles of a wide variety of great guitar players.

This is not a "how to play like ..." book, but if you are like me and have many guitarist you admire, it is a great resource for learning great licks from your favorite players. The downloadable audio files are a great help for getting the timing and dynamics right. I can see myself using this book for many years.

There is an audio for every lesson so you can hear what the lick is supposed to sound like, which is very helpful. Also a backup track for each artist, e.g, Clapton, BB King, etc. to accompany you while you're practicing. I only wish they had a description for each technique , such a 3 triplet, hammer, bending, etc. Otherwise, great content.

This book is great if you want to sound like your favorite guitarists without biting their style completely. I am bummed that Eddie Van Halen and Chuck Berry were not included, but all-in-all a fantastic Lick Catalog. They've also included a brief history of each artist which is interesting to read.

Lots of gold in here. I like having a digital copy with me when I need to find something new. Keeps things interesting and fresh

I like that this is exactly what is on the cover, lots of riffs from different guitarists. The listening recommendations and some of the background info on each artist is nice too. The included link to the audio samples for each riff is also super helpful when getting these riffs under your fingers.
