Versatile and Gorgeous Silver Plated Wire
This is my all time favorite wire for just about every jewelry project! I've been designing jewelry for about 3 years now, and was absolutely thrilled to discover a bright, silver-colored wire that does NOT tarnish. The thinner gauges of silver colored wire (24 and up) are slightly brighter in color, but all gauges keep a lovely white sheen indefinitely. The wire is somewhat soft, making it very easy to do wire wrapping. I've also found that the 20 gauge is just hard enough for making smaller jump rings (4,6, maybe 8 mm diameter) for chainmaille designs etc. Overall a very versatile wire!As with all wires, you do have to be careful with the pliers to avoid nicks and scratches. In addition, the coating of this wire that makes it non-tarnish can start to shred off if scraped or otherwise abused multiple times. This only seems to be a problem with the heavier gauges (I noticed it with 18 gauge silver colored wire). Finally, the packaging is very handy as you can just wind the desired amount off the spool. No mess, no frustration!I couldn't be happier with the product and just pray that it continues to be available as I rely on this for all my jewelry now! The only drawback is that my local Michaels does not carry this product.

10/10, Amazing stuff that I will continue to use!
It works so well! It's now my favorite wire to wrap stones with. It's a lot easier to bend than other brands. It's also great for beginners because if you kink it you can still manage to straighten it out. I also love the way it is packaged. It sits on the spool so nicely and stays tangle free. It feels very good quality and makes my jewelry look great. The price here is also very good, because in a store I usually find it for around $10 a spool (in Canada) I had no problems with shipping and it was on time.

Love it!
My two uses for wire is making rosaries and bracelets.I really love this wire and wish it was sold in a larger quantity. With this wire I can make rosaries that have some weight to them and not have to worry about the links coming loose or breaking. This is also perfect for making sturdy bracelets with that won't break apart even while playing sports.I keep ordering this wire when I run out so I really hope it stays in stock.

It’s a really good quality wire
It’s a really good wire and makes beautiful pieces. Also the silver color is really natural and simply beautiful. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it can be a bit tricky to work with, especially when trying to make small loops. If you are looking for a really soft wire then this might not be the perfect one for you. The plus side to the hardness is that it gives a really sturdy finish without having to hammer it too much or anything like that.

Wire for all projects
This is great and easy wire to work with - whether you are an experienced wire wrapper or a first time beginner. The temper of this wire (hardness) is soft enough to beat into submission and hard enough to form and keep it's shape with little hardness applied! I use this for all my rings I put up on Etsy! find some great samples of what I do with this wire at etsy dot come forward slash farahroseThe price point when ordering in bulk is great here without having to use my wholesale tax ID and spend a hundred bucks - Amazon brings great products and consumers together!!

20g So far so good
Using this for wire wrapped stone pendants, working fine so far as I am a beginner but it makes me already want to try a lower gauge or square wire shape instead of circle for a cleaner look.

GREAT wire!
I LOVE this wire. It is a very high quality, flexible (but not brittle), wire that keeps its lovely silver plate. I have been frustrated in the past with plated wire that the plate would flake off when the wire was bent, showing the copper underneath, or that would tarnish to an ugly matte steel kind of look. I love how bright this wire stays, too - it definitely keeps that faux sterling silver look. The 20 ga is perfect for wire-wrapping, and the 18ga is great for making jump rings.

As described
I purchased this from Beadaholique.I appreciate Artistic Wire as it comes in so many varieties and is very affordable. Non-tarnish means that the wire is covered in a thin coating that prevents tarnishing. The coating itself is like a varnish. When you are careful with how you handle the wire, the coating stays put and protects the wire. It's best to use nylon covered pliers and take care when hammering. You could re-coat the wire with a similarly protective substance but it's very easy to damage the plating when the coating has peeled off, since the silver plating layer is VERY thin.
