I give it 5 stars because it met me needs and then some. I was looking for something to help keep my hair out of my face during workouts (running and cycling especially.) It beats the standard bandanna in just about every way. Highly functional you can use it as a headband or as an armband to wipe the sweat out of your face. You can hand wash it quickly and it dries extremely fast.I also discovered its use as sleeping aid. I use it as a 'blind fold' when trying to sleep or nap in bright light environments. Works like a charm.The only knock I have is that there are no size choices. I have a large head (L or XL hats) that coupled with my long thick hair means that it can fit tight. Sometimes a little too tight when worn over night but not enough for me to dock it a star. The material is more elastic and breathable than its UV blocking cousin. It also is black on both side with the only distinguishing feature being a small buff graphic located toward the lip.Overall, you will be happy with this purchase if you buy it for what is advertised; It is all that and then some.

Great item. I bought this for our trip to India. I used it as an ear cover (my ears get cold easily and then severe pain ensues), an eye mask, a face/nose mask for smells, a headband, and a pillow (stuff it with something). It's so small you can carry it with you all the time and have it for whatever. When hiking with a friend back home, I turned it into a hat for her son who was feeling cold. I've used it as a hat and a balaclava and scarf when running. It's not warm enough as a balaclava or scarf for me. Great product. I've made some tubes out of very stretchy knit fabric as well. That works for certain things, but the buff's sweat-wicking fabric, lightness, and stretchiness (also seamless) just can't be matched.

I have another Buff headband that I love… This one is giant… Super wide. I didn’t realize that when I ordered it. Too soon to tell about cold weather conditions, I bought this in the Summer. It's great for keeping the sun off of the top of my head, wearing as a mask in dusty conditions, and as a neck "sweat band" . Pretty confident that it'll work out fine in the cooler weather too.

I love my BUFF and used it all through winter on my runs and trail runs. I primarily use it to cover my neck and my mouth area. I have asthma trouble while running in colder weather and this helps greatly by warming my mouth. I have, a few times, pulled it up to cover my ears as well. It's so versatile and it's now a must-have for me for cold-weather running. I definitely recommend it to any outdoor runner.

I recieved a BUFF headwear as a gift last year and loved it, so I decided to order another one. Very disapointed in this particular product to say the least. Fabric is very thin, unlined and not at all like the one I recieved as a gift. Apparently not all of the BUFF Original Multifuction Headwar products are alike. If you're expecting this to keep you warm, save your money. Or it could be used as a very expensive dust rag.

I ride my bike to work everyday and like to wear the buffs under my helmet to cover my ears and chin. This one is way too tight and the material is slick and non absorbent. This may work for a kid or as a headband, but my head is on the small side and it doesn't fit me well at all. I do not recommend this product.

I'm a fan of Buff, I get neck aches that lead to headaches if I have so much as a light breeze blowing down my neck. This is great, and I live in Hawaii where wearing a scarf will lead to a sweat-soaked scarf. Don't get me wrong, Hawaii is paradise, but when the temperature dips at night and the cool breezes start, I get headaches without my buff.
