Smart home integration with Google Home works great!
The features I really wanted were a wall switch and smart home integration, and this ceiling fan checked both those boxes for a only a modest premium over a "non-smart" ceiling fan.The smart home integration after about a month has been highly stable which is great. The app itself works decently enough, but I don't expect to open the app again since I have it integrated with Google Home. The main quirk is that the optional light is present in the application and has buttons on the wall switch even though it isn't included. It doesn't affect usage, but just feels sloppy and less polished. The app will create two devices "Fan" and "Light" and you cannot delete the light from the app.The fan itself has 6 speed settings from low to high (1 to 6). On 1 to 5, the fan is barely audible and on 6, you can start hearing the whirring from the wind being generating. The amount of wind is very decent for indoor use, and I usually have it on setting 3 for a decent feeling of an air draft.Installation is easy enough, with the hardest part being the wiring. There are a lot of wires to connect the control box but the diagram is relatively easy to follow (don't forget to disconnect the power from the breaker box!). The wiring is color coded, and the switch installs like most other switches (requires neutral). On the control box, there are 2 extra wires for the light so you can just tie those off any ignore.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and feel its a fair price. The fan itself looks clean and modern, and performs well enough. I've bought 2 of the 52-inch fans, and 1 of the 62-inch fans.

Great performance, and much less money than my neighbor's choice!
I don't usually do reviews, but wanted to provide counterpoint to the people giving 1-star reviews without putting in a li8ttle effort.Bought three of these to both update to DC power, and stop staring at three different fans down my house. All three arrived in great shape, and installed with no drama at all. They've manually for 6 months now, and I got around to installing a new mesh network with a discrete 2.4Ghz network to finish the IoT installation. There's a source of a lot of annoyance - when you do the IoT, be sure you're talking on the right frequency.Overall the setup went very well. There were a couple of fiddly things where I needed to back up a step or two and repeat, but no big deal. Here, I think the biggest issue here is people who do not read the fine print to make sure the fan is spinning before doing any programming, or have problems getting the 2.4Ghz connection dialed in.The bottom line is that it took about 30 minutes to get all three fans running in the app (one took a second try), and 5 minutes to get them integrated into my Amazon Echo home. The voice control works flawlessly so far. This allows me to tweak them by voice during the day, and then I use the Modern Forms app to schedule a complete shutdown of all three each night since I'm not very diligent!I seriously compare these against the $950+ fans my neighbor bought. I don't need the ability to trigger the fans based on the house's humidity, and I really don't pine (no pun intended) for a real wood fan blade. One last thing, if it's an option for anyone considering these ( or others, I guess). I was lucky enough to have power to all three fans on wall switches. Although I thought about eliminating the wall switches (no need with remote control), my neighbor pointed out that these switches would make rebooting any fan very easy. Yes you can do it through the Modern Forms app, but I'm a belt-and-suspenders guy, so have actually used this once already.Very happy, and getting ready to do three more fans to finish the whole-house update!

Stopped working after 2 weeks
Update: September 1st contacted tech support, went through all the resets despite telling them i’d already done so and the receiver was bad.....and eventually I was told “we’ll it seems like your receiver is bad”. No crap. Told to email them my purchase proof which I did, so they could send a new receiver. It’s been over a month with no reply to that email, no email that it’s sent, nothing.Worked well for two weeks, some noise but wasn’t too bad, looked nice, good air movement in my new master suite. Then, stopped working. This was installed by an electrician. Checked all connections, as some reviews stated elsewhere (not all are listed here which is fishy) i’m pretty sure the receiver went bad, and this isn’t an easy install so this is highly irritating. Then called tech support and on hold for 30 minutes so left a voicemail two days ago, no callback yet. Unfortunately too late to return to amazon as I had it over a month before installing so we’ll see what Modern Forms does to fix this. If they are helpful i’ll update my review.

FANtastic - easy install, quiet, iphone app
I was a bit skeptical of buying this as there arent many reviews for this fan online and some of them arent very good. I'm assuming people who bought this and had no issues never leave a review.Install: I had a harder time taking down my old fan than I did installing this. It was a bit of a balancing act getting the wiring done but everything else was very easy and straightforward. Took me less than 30 minutes. The fan is VERY quiet on every speed - there are six. 1 and 2 dont move a whole lot of air but 3 and up the air movement is very significant [indoors anyway].I had zero issues getting this syncd with the remote [worked out of the box] or getting the app downloaded onto my iphone and adding the fan. It all went very easy and smoothIMO the fan looks awesome as well. Would definitely purchase again
