We ran out for a few nights - my reorder was delayed in the mail- and I was reminded how wonderful these are
My mother is bedridden, and we use these diapers at night. We ran out for a few nights - my reorder was delayed in the mail- and I was reminded how wonderful these are. I don't know how they do it, but even the odor is less in the morning with these diapers than it is with the less expensive brand I use during the day. My mother is a small woman (114 pounds), but even she soaks through regular diapers (not these) within a few hours. I change her every two and a half to three hours during the day (using a different brand), but at night (because of these diapers) I am able to let her sleep a full night without having to change her in the middle of the night. For the last couple nights, when we didn't have these diapers to use, I was reminded how amazing these are, and I wanted to give them some feedback. In the morning - with the other brand - I could smell the urine before I even opened the door to her room, and she was so soaked that I had to change out all the bedding (including her underpad, sheets, and mattress pad). However, with these diapers, I don't notice an overpowering smell in the morning. Leakage of urine, with these diapers, is also very unusual. It's rare to even have the underpad be damp at all in the morning. We LOVE these diapers. When the UPS man brought them to the door yesterday, I actually broke out into the Hallelujah chorus. Seriously, I am NEVER going to be without these again. Two nights without them was horrible. I am stocking up. Words can not describe how these make our lives easier and my mother's rest better.

Excellent when applied properly
Anyone researching adult diapers or that needs to use adult diapers quickly learns the benefits of purchasing a premium brand like this as opposed to what you get off the shelf at the department store. That said, these work. The two primary complaints regular users have is leaks, and that these "air" versions are cloth backed, rather than plastic backed, and therefore the tapes do not stick as well.Debunk number one: buy the right size. Thats really self explanatory.Debunk number two: and perhaps this is too graphic, but you dont just slap a tape diaper on like putting on a pair of underwear. As you put it on, you need to FIT IT to the folds and shapes of your body to get the correct seal, then place the tapes geometrically to support the seal points, not just hold it on your hips.Debunk number three: The tapes work fine on these. Unless you overstress the taping point by taping too tightly, or unless the tape/attachment point is contaminated with oil from your finger or some kind of dampness or powder, these tapes stick just fine. And the best reason to choose the "air" plusses over the plastic backed? Breathability. Its tough enough needing to use adilt diaps. Purists will jump up and down and pound their fists that plastic backed are the best, but plastic doesnt breathe. So not only are you subjecting the skin on all surfaces covered by the diaper to thatever you use the diaper for, you are literally covering your skin in plastic, and it cant breathe, and therefore it sweats, and therefore you end up with a miserable rash.Use as directed, and you'll be fine.

An awesome underwear with one serious flaw
When it comes to managing incontinence, I want a product I can trust. I could technically use other kinds of protection, but I want to spend less time worrying about something silly and more time enjoying my life. There are a lot of good things with Abena Slip. Even with maximum absorbency, they are pretty discreet, quiet, and cost effective. Seriously even my wife can't tell I'm wearing them even though she knows very well that I need them. Which is why they are my daily drivers and I end up wearing between 3 to 5 every day.I know they wont leak that's of course one of the most important thing for a product like this but unfortunately many competitors miss the mark on that one.During the day, I can do anything I want, even hiking, without limitations and with their comfortable fit they give me confidence in any situation. They allow me to focus on what's really important. And at night, they provide me better, more restful nights of sleep. Now there is one bad thing, and honestly it's quite bad. I was really torn between giving 3 or 4 stars, but for all the reasons above-mentioned, I think these underwear are so important for my freedom that it wouldn't be fair for me to just put 3 stars. But the fact that the tabs can just fall off 1 time out of 4 is bad. Really bad.Abena customer service has been amazing, they even send me a free pack to make up for the issue but the fact that it keeps on happening is making me concerned about leaks, and I really really really really really don't want to leak in public. Thankfully it hasn't happened yet but a little voice in my head keeps telling me it's just a matter of time.I've been unable to change for close to 8 hours sometimes, and seeing ALL the tabs either fell or were on the verge of falling off makes me incredibly uneasy. That's not helping me build confidence at all.I've considered switching brands but honestly nobody seems to come close in comfort, breathability and pricing.

Best brief I’ve found! …. CORRECTION-UPDATE!!!
The only issue is I do add a bit of extra tape AS the adhesive tab, which is adhered to the brief does have a tendency to come off for some reason?? A small price to pay for all the other bonuses these briefs have. Comfort, absorbs better than any other I have found in the last five years of caring for my parent. Extra cushion on the bum is 1000% awesomeness. Long trips, overnight …. Covers all issues that comes along with incontinence Issues.***** UPDATE*****Abrena states only the packaging has recently changed. I must say the product itself HAS definitely changed, not for the better. The absorbency is definitely not as good, thinker and the putter layer is not as waterproof. The cost has skyrocketed too!I have now started using a different brand also from the same country as Abrena! It’s cheaper than Abrena and basically what Abrena was before all of the changes.
