Works great!!

This was purchased to celebrate my mother’s retirement after 40 years of working. The family was so excited to put the machine to use and my parents were inspired to research recipes and ingredients. Imagine our disappointment when we turned the lid into the “ON” position and….silence. No whirring of motor, no crushing of frozen strawberries. We checked 3 different outlets and various ways of turning it on. There was more sound of silence than if Simon, Garfunkel, and Disturbed were all in the same room singing at the same time. At the end of the ordeal of problem shooting this machine, everyone was left sorely needing the drink we were so unable to obtain.

Final Update:Mixing paddle arrived today. Product works great with the mixing paddle! 5 stars. :)Update: I called their support line and they are shipping a new paddle for the device. Once that arrives I'll update again, but their support was very prompt and concerned about the issue. If you don't get your mixing paddle in the box, call their support line and they will send one to you at no cost. Excellent customer service with no hassles. Will update again in a few days once I receive it and can use the product. Keeping the product instead of returning it. :)Original:I opened the box expecting to be able to use the product. Without the stirring module inside the bowl, the device won't mix and that's it's only purpose other than shaving ice. They're sold out of the stirring modules on their website so I can't even buy a replacement. Extremely disappointed and sending it back to Amazon.

That's where it ended up. It was useless!!

My 10 year old grandson asked specifically for this and I asked him why he needed a daiquiri maker. He said to make slushies and he loves it.

Reading the negative reviews made me somehow hesitant to purchase this item. Decided to give it a try anyhow, and so glad I did. This is not a professional slush maker, so if one expects the quality of a machine priced at well above 1K, then one must have his or her head examined. This is an inexpensive ... but very good looking home version, that need a little imagination to bring a satisfying end result. Combined with an inexpensive (in the same price range) food blender it is a real winner. To give an example: my first Pina Colada, did not come exactly as expected ... but after mixing the entire drink in a blender for 3 seconds ... voila ... the drink was perfect! The blender by itself won't do the trick, as it always leave the alcohol on the bottom of the glass in a matter of minutes.

First I ordered this in a cream color, and it never came. It still hasn’t come. I received an update that more then likely this had been lost in the mail. It’s been over three weeks. So I ordered another one but in black. I was so wanting this to be what I imagined and what it showed in the pictures but it’s not. At best it’s CRUSHED ice, and there is not real different between the two settings. (Shaved and slushy) and no way can you use a straw, which is what I wanted for my kiddos and their friends (8-12yrs)I’ve decided to keep it, as it’s good for crushed ice and, as I’m also getting charged for the one I never even saw, it’s better then non stop all. . I tried contacting Amazon and the company but nothing back except that I’m responsible for the one that was “lost in the mail”I heard good things about this company so I’m sorry I got the crap end here and I’m sure this doesn’t happen all the time- but I’m totally annoyed and disappointed I have ti pay for two, only get one, and I don’t even like it. I wanted it for the “slushy” part and it is definitely NOT a slushy consistency!I hope others have better luck and don’t get over charged for something they never even saw!
