Q: What would I use for insurance purposes? There’s a long list but the 4kg chain and alarm doesn’t seem to be an option

There should be an option with a disc or shackle lock or choose the nearest to it. Its my view that they rarely check anyway. If your bike does still get nicked they will probably take the lock with it which means you won,t have the lock anymore. Good piece of kit for the price, & a reasonable deterrent.

Q: Disk lock pin wont lock

After I removed the cushion, I pressed the lock cylinder and kept making the sound of di, but I couldn't press it at all, the performance was completely unqualified, and the alarm could not be locked. This product has serious defects and is not recommended to buy.

Q: Is this a gold secure lock

It's good for the price. Heavy duty chain. Disc lock is OK as well. Slightest movement sets alarm off.

Q: Can the disc lock be used without an alarm?

Not really, but if prefer it without the alarm, you would need to open it up & remove the batteries. This is easy as a hexagon key is supplied. should take no more than 20 minutes or so, otherwise there is no other option than to buy another disc lock without an alarm. hope this helps
