Seymour Duncan Saturday Night Special Humbucker Pickup - Zebra Bridge

I installed these in my Harley Benton LP style guitar. It had nice pickups in it but I wanted some a 'little' bit like PAFs but with a little more umph. Boy do these deliver on that! Totally satisfied with all my Seymour Duncan purchases. Can't go wrong.

Wow, this is a great pickup. It has more of a vintage sound when played clean, and it's a little bright in my guitar, but not bright like a Tele. When you crank up the amp, this pickup growls and snarls. Again, it's modeled after a vintage pickup, but they've make it to be a slightly hot vintage sound. The Seymour Duncan website explains their intent.I put this in probably the cheapest guitar you can buy, an Epiphone Les Paul Junior Special. And this guitar just smokes with this pickup. Because every guitar is different, it will take on different sounds. Check out some videos and see what you think. When I heard it, I knew that was the one I wanted.

Fantastic pickup! This does not sound like an overwound pickup. This pickup is similar to a Gibson 57 Classic but with a midrange bump. This pickup uses an alnico 4 magent so it's hotter than a 57 Classic but not as hot as a Burstbucker Pro or Dirty Fingers. So, if you're looking for a bright but wellbalanced pickup (clear lows, mids and highs), I highly recommend the Sat Nite Special. I installed this in my Gibson Les Paul Classic and I'm glad I did.

This pickup in the bridge position made my Asian import Les Paul Guitar sound like all the classic rock songs from that era with the help of a little distortion gain and a little delay effect.
