Excellent product
Well built very heavy bullet trap! The 24x24 trap is a perfect size. Easy to assemble, keep in mind it is a very heavy product when assembled and with rubber mulch added its extremely heavy so have it close to where you want it or have a way to move it where you want it. Requires 80lbs of rubber mulch or 3.10 cu ft. To fill it. Well worth the money for the quality, safety and piece of mind this product brings to your days of shooting knowing your lead is staying in this trap! Highly recommend this product and would buy it again!

Great bullet trap
Lots to like:1. 4 sqft of target area2. Ballistic steel back plate3. Excellent design and construction4. Rubber front piece is substantial and heavy5. Easy to assemble BUT1. Hard for one person to move after adding rubber mulchFactory replied to a contact about back plate. When adding rubber much, the back plate can withstand 44 mag ammo. Nice but I've only shot 9mm.Highly recommend!

HEAVYduty
This thing is a tank! Glad I have an engine hoist to place it after it’s assembled and filled with 50 lbs. of shredded rubber.

A trap able to take magnum ammo
I purchased the STS 24" X 24" Monster Trap and found it to be very well made. It was delivered by standard shipping in 3 boxes. Easily assembled together it weighs around 140 pounds, so expect to use a hand truck to move it. The heavy 1" rubber mat, pictured above, will seal the bullet holes. I shot full power 357 & 44 magnum handgun ammo with no damage to the trap. It took hits with FMJ, full metal jacket, rifle ammo in 7mm and 7.62x39 AK too. It can withstand bullet velocities up to 2200 fps at the trap, without denting the tough A500 steel back plate. From what I see, expect the trap to last a long time.

Heavy duty trap, works as described
Heavy duty and tough. Assembly was straight forward. When filled with rubber mulch (used almost four .8 cubic ft each bags from a big box store, $32 cost) 9mm FMJ are not hitting the back plate. The final product is heavy, especially with 80 lbs of mulch added. In order to move the trap around, a suitably strong wheeled cart under the trap is a welcome accessory.

Working as Described
So far this bullet catch is working as described with no issues (I am using a .40 cal at 25 feet with 180 grain S&W ammunition). I did add the rubber mulch as suggested by several other reviewers.I also modified how the front rubber piece is mounted to the box by screwing a wood frame using 2x4's to the inside of the box (using the existing screw holes that were for the rubber front) so I could attach plywood to the 2x4's, then the rubber front piece. This will prevent the front rubber piece from tearing on impact near the screw holes, while at the same time giving me a bit more stopping power with the plywood for a rifle/shotgun.Even though at $750 this is seemingly expensive, it is a responsible solution for a home shooting range. I priced the materials alone and they were about the same price with delivery without fabrication. I did not want to be that guy that tried to save a few dollars by making a bullet catch with a plastic storage bin and rubber mulch as some videos suggest and end up with a bullet hitting something or someone. I would recommend this product and would buy it again.
