Laurel & Hardy: The Collection (Tradewide repackage) [DVD] [2018]

As the box says Classic Comedy Genius From The World's Greatest Double Act - I had the big box when it first came out, so when i saw this i thought i'd buy it , it saves a huge amount of space on my shelf , the item arrived in great condition and in good packaging from amazon. Laurel and Hardy always make me laugh and it's great to see these classic comedy's once more, i give it 5 stars for value for money. The list on the back is in alphabetical order of the films on the disc's.

I thought I’d add a picture of all the movies and shorts included as the product listing didn’t have that when I bought this. I’m happy so far, all the dvds were there (make sure you check before the 30 days is up) and I’m just about to watch a chump at Oxford.

The rating is for the films. My all time favourite Laurel & Hardy films and more now in a compact single case version, so now the set fits on my shelf very nicely. The old set I owned was the original box set and was large, and I find this is far better and saves a lot of space. However, there is no booklet, which is a bind, and to find out what is on which disc you have to look at each disc and the size of the type on each disc is microscopic. I'll probably be listing the contents by disc myself and if I do I'll post here.Although the repackaging of this Laurel & Hardy set has reduced the size and number of discs all the films are still on the discs, although some aren't actually listed on the discs, so it isn't obvious.Me and My Pal is listed on the inside of the case cover but not on any disc. However, it can be found on disc 4 (Vol 4). Most of the Laurel and Hardy foreign language films aren't listed at all, on case cover or disc, but are actually on the discs with the corresponding english language film. I used to have the larger box set version of this. It's the exact same DVD collection, but now in a much smaller and more space-saving packaging.Laurel and Hardy have been my favourite comedy since I was a child.The shorts/movies seem to be themed on each disk. Many of the shorts have the option to see them in their original black & white, or a modern colourised version. I can't watch the colourised ones - it seems sacrilegious to do so.This boxset is a must for the serious Laurel & Hardy fan.

Well what can I say about the greatest comedy duo ever, apart from pure genius. In this boxset you get 21 dvds, but once I opened the box two discs were loose so was upset about that. All in all looking forward to hammering this, without ads when I watch them.on YouTube. This boxset is worth the price, and the only letdown was the storage in the case

If you are a big fan of L & H shorts in particular- this is the one for you.Has all the classics (Full features and shorts). The content is as good as it gets for picture, sound quality. (I personally think these two were and still are the greatest Comedy duo ever! - but that is only my opinion!).You get the option to view each in coloured version or black & white - black & white every time for me!The recent change in packaging design of the set has improved the product 100% (takes up a lot less room now - approximately the size of a 1000 page paperback book now).For the price this is excellent.
