Tenacious
This product is ideal if you want the hold of a strong pomade, but something that has a thinner consistency (and can be applied more thinly) and less waxy. I have very thick hair that when cut to medium and shorter lengths, tends to stick straight out, instead of conforming to a style. I could use a ton of thick gel, or just a pea size of this. Since it's water based, you can use it on top of gel to keep the stickouts down and it pretty much blends in. I use just a small amount, it lasts forever, looks and feels natural, and the smell is nice and not too strong. It may be a little heavy / strong for long or thin hair.

Almost what I was looking for.
I was looking for an alternative to Keune Power Paste for strong hold as I allow my hair to grow out. This product is less viscose than Power Paste and it holds well but it has a tendency to form stiff strands that can't be separated easily. Having tried applying to wet, dry and everywhere in between hair, I'm going to try another product (although I may return to this one.) For shorter hair, this would have been a win because it does not flake, it has minimal scent and is a really cost effective alternative.

Helps with the Flat Iron
I have given up using hair spray and really needed to get my hair strait. This seems to give a little hold without being heavy. Not sure how it will do in the summer as I just started using it in the fall. I am hoping it helps with the humidity and flyaways. I do wish this were in a tub as the last of the product is hard to get out of the tube.

Long time user
I am older with thinning hair. Getting grey and hair that just wants to stick out and not lay down. This product helps me manage my hair with little trouble or mess. After a shower or just wetting my hair and a put a dab of this in my palm and rub it into my hair and then brush or comb where I want it and it stays. The value is I don't need a lot. It is not messy and very soluble with water so I can wash it off my hands easily and wash it out of my hair if I need too very easy.

Good product; terrible package
Best of L'Oreal's several gel types for me (man with short, fine, very straight hair). Good hold, not heavy or thick like their grey-label one is. But the package is bad. Why not put this in a tub? I hate to skip straight to a conspiracy theory, but it really looks like L'Oreal is hoping to charge you for lots of product that you can't use. You can't get about the last 20% of the product out of this tube without cutting up the tube in about 3 pieces, carefully scraping out the insides, and transferring that last of the product to a sane container. Also, while you're still trying to squeeze out as much as you can from the tube and it starts to wrinkle, the label crackles and leaves a few flakes on your hand with each use. You then have to be careful to pull those out of the gel in your hand so that you don't put them in your hair with the gel and they look like big dandruff flakes.

Unable to find in my local walgreens or CVS apparently they replaced with something not even close

Good stuff
I got this to tame flyaways on my part line when I wear my hair down, and also to help make my ponytail nice and neat when ai wear my hair up for work. My boyfriend was using an Old Spice hair cream that came in a little jar, and he has now switched to this product as well. It's a soft matte hold, and probably more than double what was in the jar of old spice version at the same cost
