Just received my ring today and I really love it. In regards to measuring for your ring
Just received my ring today and I really love it. In regards to measuring for your ring. I found it easier to measure the two measurements with a tape measure instead of calipers. I eyeballed the two measurements and erred on the large side. My measurements were an odd size, so I went to the closest approx measurement even if it was in the smaller direction. This gave me a perfect fir for my ring.I had a chance to try it out with a dry draw and the first time it slipped and the string tagged my fore arm. Not fun and I don't recommend doing this. Now I can hardly wait to get out on the range and really see how well this ring works. From what I have seen so far, the release is really smooth.By the way, my reason for using the thumb draw is because a while back I broke the first knuckle on my right ring finger and when it healed, I now get a lot of pain and discomfort when using the European three finger draw. This was a workable alternative for me to get back into Archery.

Too small
I measured my thumb at 17x21mm, and ordered the 18.5x21.5. The ring I received is too small. It's *possible* to fit it over the thumb, but requires a lot of force (and some sweat for lubrication).If you are buying this ring, I suggest ordering one size larger than the smallest ring that is technically "big enough".

Best ring on the market and comes in 1/2 sizes
I have tried 6 rings before this one. Getting measurements correct is hard in general if you are use to wester archery, like I was. Once you figure it out. This is the best most durable ring shape for heavy draw weight Asiatic bows. This pulls 70lbs easily.

best ring I've used.
I have tried different rings, from plastic, leather to horn, and finally Vermil's brass ring. So far this is my favorite ring to use. It's very sturdy, hefty, does not give against tension of the bow string, and offers a smooth and clean release. I ordered the size accordingly [19.5mm] and seem to have received a proper size.
