I installed it outside my house and gave the code to our adult children and a trusted friend so that they may get into our house if needed. Additionally, we may even give the code to the emergency personnel to get the key to in if we had an accident inside the house and cannot open the door. In fact, we like it so much that we even bought another one for another entrance door. I also recommended this to some of our friends as well. We thought about chaging the lock to a key-coded lock but at the end we still prefer this instead.

I bought one after an incident that happened to my neighbor who lived alone. His brother could not reach him and called me. I went over to check on him. This prompted me to think about the need for a secure method to store a key outside. I ordered this and is extremely pleased with it. It is sturdy, well-made, easy to set the code, and big enough to store 3 keys inside.
