Buy with confidence
This is a great product. Quality made and had plenty of power for every job I've thrown at it. Highly recommend. Metabo makes great stuff and this is no exception.

Best electric screwdriver for under 100
Swap-able batteries, included charger, nice carry case, and impact-style chuck. Makes good torque and has 2 speed settings. Very worth getting if you drive a lot of screws

One of the best battery powered screw driver
I have had many battery powered powered screw drivers like this one from different brand and the common issue i found among all of them was lack of torque. This one is different and has plenty of torque to do the job.Batteries long for a long time, it is a very pratical tool to have. The head can pivot making it easier to access to hard reaching screws.Price point is really attractive as well since it usually is below $100.Gave it a 4 stars because it is a little bit on the heavy side

Simply Amazing!
I really wish I had bought this a long time ago! Before, I would stick a drillbit on my compact drill—with combined weight of battery plus tool, it adds up to over 2 lbs. While I’m accustomed to using the compact drill, it is unwieldy. Then I ordered the Metabo HPT 12v screwdriver…. My life has changed lol! Easy to use, buttons and lightswitch all conveniently placed for easy one handed operation, adjustable clutch is great for torque, batteries lasts a good amount. Plus it is lightweight yet a solid tool (dropped several times from 3’ height, no problem).Highly recommend

Highly Recommended For Awkward Locations or Small Items
This is a great power driver for those jobs where a regular drill/driver is too large or awkward. The driver has plenty of adjustable torque and has a good grip for my hand. I like that the controls are located where you need them. The battery seems to last a long time but I haven't had to use it to full depletion. My only wish is that the kit included a variety of bits but that was known when I ordered it.

My 3rd Unit
This is my 3rd Hitachi / Metabo drill screwdriver. Got my 1st one (a Hitachi) as a gift from my kids about 20 years ago and thought: "That's pretty lazy if you need to use an electric screwdriver!" But after a few uses, that's pretty much all I use! Fits in my carpenter jean rule pocket, a set of bits and sockets and I'm ready for almost anything! No, it doesnt have the torque to drive in deck screws (yes, it'll remove them but wont drive them into virgin wood- unless you pre-drill a pilot hole)I pretty much wore out my first Hitachi. It still works ok but pretty beat up! LED doesnt work (the switch) but it keeps torquing away perfectly! Sometimes it bites my hand when it goes from straight to pistol grip but it keeps chugging along! Finally decided to get another one and retire this Hitachi!Well... Hitachi sold and changed names to Metabo! Same product- kinda snazzed up but definately cheaper plastic! Thinner, motor is somewhat slower and less torque than the Hitachi- but basically works just the same! Great unit! Out of all the electric screwdrives I checked out, thios one it tops. ALL the batteries are the same 3.6v - plenty adequate. I did replace the charger unit with a smaller one and relegated the original Hitachi driver to my 'go-box' tool bag in my truck (I have a couple of rental units)Decided to get yet another one- while they're still available. Amazon keeps playing with the price- up and down- and this time when they dropped the price- and had a coupon discount too- I jumped at it! Great, practical and useful tool. Maybe I did get 'lazy' in my old age but once you use it, you'll use it often! Now that I have 3 of these, I have one in my house garage, one in my shop and one in the truck so I dont have to go searching for one! Now I have 6 batteries that only take about 30 min to recharge and seems to last quite a while. It's a great product. Not as 'solid' as the original Hitachi but certainly not one of those cheap flimsy generic Chinese no name screwdrivers! If I needed another one- or needed to give one as a gift, I'd certainly get another on of these. Hopefully, these Metabo's will last as long as the original Hitachi stuff!

Somewhat Strange Design
This screwdriver works great and I was looking for one with two batteries and its own charger. This fit the bill and the price was very reasonable. There are two design issues that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. The handle does not have a lock to hold it in position, which I think it should. Then there's a strange rubber piece that kind of just hangs by the handle hinge, so you don't pinch your skin when adjusting the handle. Very odd way to deal with this issue, it's like they put it on there as an afterthought. I'll probably just take it off and toss it, not heeding the warnings in the manual. You sometimes gotta take a few risks in life.
