It is true that it is of a lighter weight, but the color is as pictured and it is sewn well. I do not feel, as some said in reviews I read, that it will fall apart in the wash. I believe it is a quality product and I will be enjoying this set on my bed for a long time. I bought the king size for my queen bed so I do not need a dust ruffle underneath.
