Great book

I have this book in German, and it's good. As a professional translator, however, I can see that the English version is a poor, confusingly written translation that would be too much effort for kids (or even most adults) to read. The writing style should have been adapted to English, as in any good translation, but it slavishly follows the German, resulting in a stressful text to read. I don't think a kid would get far into it. That's not to mention the punctuation and capitalization errors this English version is rife with.This is a real tragedy, because this publisher puts out flawless books in German and then has them less-than-competently translated into English.
