All kitted up now!
I’m off to Malawi for 6 weeks in December to help build a school. This is the trip of a lifetime for me so great anticipation mixed with apprehension. First time to Africa. I’ve got my health insurance and every jab under the sun. Now I think I have the malaria fully sorted too. The mozzie spray, the bed net, the malaria pills and now also this test kit. At least I think I’ve done everything I can. Learned a lot of new facts about malaria from the malaria guide included in this kit, I’m quite impressed with it. Only the female of the species bite people – #metooformozzies.

Fighting Malaria
Didn’t know what to expect when I bought this kit for a relative who's going backpacking in India. Quick delivery, robust packaging and instructions very easy to understand. Very small and light considering how much is inside. I have a friend who worked in an anti-malaria NGO who told me about these test kits. I didn't realise were widely available until recently. Another South African friend caught malaria whilst on safari. Luckily he survived. It's a really unpleasant disease. I hope the kit comes back unused but at least they have it.

Like it.
Great little kit for what i need - work in Nigeria for 2 weeks every quarter and always forget to take those daily anti malarials. Uusally rely on deet spray and i dont get bittten much. Now i'm just going to take this this kit with me so i wont worry about the tablets. If I get a ill I'll just take a test and then get meds if I have malaria. no brainer.
