Been a regular cargo short wearer and picked up a pair of these to meet a dress code. Afterwards I fell in love with them and they've replaced the cargo shorts.I rekindled an old athletic routine so have lost weight. The point being I actually dropped a size to fit into these so I couldn't comment on the fit being snug, loose, or just right. The liner does have a very forgiving elastic liner which does ease the fit.I was quickly and unexpectedly sold on dropping all the cumbersome bulk, pocket appearance and heft of cargo shorts. I just found these more comfortable and sporty and walking is actually easier without the cargo bulk crashing back and forth as you walk.Love the look and the feel. They pair well with a polo shirt or even casual summer tee shirt.
