The features we expected are only found in the ProxPad Plus. For the ProxPad, you have to have a Palm Pilot to access event logs and your user list. There is no way to connect this to a laptop to manage your system. Further more, to use a Palm Pilot, you have to have a computer that runs Windows XP or earlier versions. We are currently struggling to get our membership data off this device so that we can replace it with a ProxPad Plus and not inconvenience our entire membership by them having to have their access cards reprogrammed. I'm not sure why IEI is still selling this product. The PROXPad Plus IR is in the same outdated boat.
