A: Not positive, but 2-6 most likely.  I use 8# braid, which is about 2# mono diameter.

**Q: Is this salt water reel ?**
A: No

**Q: Where is it manufactured?**
A: This reel is made in Malaysia. The higher end reels are made in japan.this a really nice reel and works great! 6lb mono seems to work best for me enjoy!!

**Q: what is the gear ratio?**
A: 5.2 gear ratio
