Everything is plug and play, and the instructions are pretty easy to follow. The app is simple to use and again, easy to set up. Camera quality is very good, but struggles a little at night. In my experience the IR lamps are good for 10 meters maximum for any real clarity. Anything over this and you can’t really make out the detail. During the day the quality is slightly better. Couple of comments: the cameras in the pack have quite bulky connectors, and only the PoE connection is required. Presumably these cameras must also work with the Reolink DVR’s as well as the NVR, hence the connection choices. Not a big deal, but you will need to drill a 22mm hole in order push the connections through. Mounting the cameras was relatively easy, however the cable on the dome cameras colides with the fixing ring when you twist the camera in certain orientations. They could have done with spacing the rotating camera ball down another 5-10mm, and this would have allowed the cameras to clear the fixing ring and freely rotate in any orientation with out impediment. One other thing which would be nice is integration with Alexa so you could call the cameras up on a show. I don’t believe there is a Reolink skill yet. I’ve read online about a work around, but it sounds quite complicated and would require a PC or raspberry pi to be switched on all the time to provide the means to connect. Another thing which others may find helpful, I’ve located the NVR away from my router, and I purchased a TP-LINK AV1000 Ethernet powerline adapter. This allows you to connect the LAN cable into the plug socket giving you pretty much unlimited choice of locations for the NVR. It works brilliantly. There is no lag, or difference in quality when streaming over the TP-LINK or direct into the router (as I tried both to see for myself). ### ⭐⭐⭐ Picture quality poorer than expected *by N***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2019* I've been reading about CCTV for a while and decided to buy the 5MP kit with 2 domes and 2 bullet cameras. Having fully set up the NVR, I tested a dome camera in identical locations and lighting as our current Logitech Circle 1080p cameras. The picture quality from the Reolink was disappointing. It is grainy and crinkly - difficult to describe fully, but it is definitely worse than the Logitech (which aren't great anyway due to compression) and I was unable to read number plates at about 30 metres even zoomed in. I returned the product and am now looking at higher quality, though also higher priced, Dahua kits.The Reolink kit did seem fairly well-built though, but that doesn't make up for the recording quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent system *by B***B on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 October 2019* Excellent product and very simple to setup and get going. The picture is 4x3 aspect ratio so if you want proper 16x9 then may be look at a 4k kit. For me this is not an issue. Picture quality at 5MP settings is amazing but you will only get about 10 days with all cameras connected. You can drop the quality a little and extend that easily or replace the hard drive with a larger than the supplied 2TB drive.A very happy customer, protect your home and get one of these very customisable cctv systems. I even ordered addional camera, just remember to get long cables for the addional cameras since when you buy separate cameras you only get a small 1m cable.
