C'est bon! This was a gift for Grammy and we all had a GREAT time using it. Music brings families together! None of us can carry a tune, but we sure can make a ruckus together. The washboard was smaller than I had imagined, although the size IS listed correctly in the description. I just didn't read it well because I was excited to buy! Also, at first we were disappointed because we thought it no longer was engraved as pictured on Amazon...we were able to the the inscription after looking more closely!! We loved the story of how it was created as our family too migrated from LA to SETX years ago. Thank you for the love and care that went into the creation of this board and for all the memories that will follow!

I'm really please with this product

This instrument was what I expected and more. Already had one of those zydeco neckties and I have played a full-size washboard; no, this can't match the sound of a full- size one but it does sound pretty good and it's loud, and it's way better than the necktie (which now costs almost as much and is just too skinny). This washboard measures 6" wide x 11" long with the playing surface being 6" wide x 7" long, wasn't sure if that would be too short but it isn't, really easy to play. The scratchers are very nice. Been playing the hell out of mine for several days now with no issues, well made. Slips into a (large) tablet case. Got mine in 3 days but I live nearby, also in Louisiana. Tee Don has a 5 minute video on YouTube where he shows his workshop and stuff and he plays this rubboard at length, this is what convinced me to buy it (sounds good in the vid but considerably better in person), plus he plays in various zydeco rubboard styles so you can refer to it for that. If you plan on playing a washboard in a genuine professional zydeco band you're gonna need a full-size one, for anything else this thing rocks good..... let's get rubbin', y'all!

I bought this rubboard to add to my kids' zydeco set - but was truly impressed when I received it. This instrument was handmade the day I ordered it by Tee Don, and engraved as an authentic piece. I love the story that was included about Tee Don's father. It's amazing that Willie's legacy lives on through his son and I'm so happy to own one of Tee Don's famous rubboards. Needless to say, I kept this one for myself instead of giving to my kids haha. Thank you Tee Don, I truly appreciate your craftsmanship and contribution to zydeco music!

Not at all impressed with this Washboard. The sound isn't exactly what I thought it would be like. I even used thimbles rather then the paint can openers that it came with and it still sounded BLAH.....
