It is not very thick, pretty good for spring and summer. I wanted the navy one to replace one I lost from B***** Republic and it will do a great job, the knit is the same, just thinner. As for the size, I am closest to 8 from the chart. The navy one is smaller than the peach one, see pictures. Since they were M size maybe navy is more like 8 and peach like 10 which is a tad big for me but I can fold it and it looks good. By the way, peach really looks pink but that's OK for me.
