Mephisto Men's Thomas

This is my second pair of these shoes (I have them in black and blue). I wear them to work every day. I bought my first pair on sale at a premium store in WA state with a name that starts with Nords####. ;) I am very happy I did because they are great quality and I was able to figure out the right size in person. I typically wear mens 8.5 or 9 wide (EE). I wear size 8 in these and they fit me wonderfully. They are very comfortable and feel already broken in right out of the box. I mentioned the great quality. My original blue ones are about 2 years old now and look and feel like the day I bought them. Since these, my wife bought a different style of Mephisto shoes and they are now he “go-to” shoes as well. I know they are expensive, but as long as they last and how good they feel, I will choose quality over quantity. That said, I do have a couple pair of Mephisto shoes on my Amazon “wish list” if anyone is feeling generous. Ha ha…

Great comfortable shoes. Inserted higher arch for greater walking comfort. Will update for long term wear in time. Happy after three days of wearing.

Mephisto makes the best shoes. Period. I'm a lifelong fan. Sizes are accurate and they are comfortable from the get-go. And these look good, too. My oldest pair is over ten years old and is still going strong.

Very comfortable and well made but narrower than they appear in photos. Had hoped to order a replacement but only offered option to return the shoes. Our return was “picked up” 12-28 and ETA to “processing center” shows 1-19!? Amazon Prime item. It is convenient to have shoes delivered but very long lead time for refund is shoe does not fit. Mephisto store prices are about the same as Amazon’s by the way.

I have flat feet, and I need a big toe box. Totally comfortable with these at my normal size of 12. Sometimes snazzy Euro/Mephisto shoes think it's desirable to feature "arch support", but it is an agonizing lump for us flatties. These don't have that issue. Toe box is generous. Quality is commensurate with expectations. I think they look sharp. I have 3 pairs/colors, and I paid around $150 for each pair. At that price, they are an awesome buy. At $300....eh? Still a decent buy, but that is a lot of scratch.

size down 1/2 size from your usual dress show size. this is typical of Mephisto. The shoe is light and does not push or pull in any part of your feet. Seems like there is about 1/8 inch of air all around and impinges nowhere on or around your toes. Yet, it is still somewhat supportive on the bottom of your feet. The gait induced by shoe is quite natural and encourages my toes and arch to flex naturally . There really isn't much in the way of arch support. yet, the latex rubber along with 100% leather materials provide comfortable and stable stride. Quite possibly this may be the most comfortable everyday shoes I've ever experienced. Some caveats: 1) this isn't for really long walking or hiking. for that you do need some arch support and additional stability around heels. 2) this isn't for rough surfaces or slick floors like commercial floors or construction sites. 4) so long as you are not playing tennis or other heavy feet twisting work, this could work for lifting weights and other exercises.

You get what you pay for. These shoes are light, flexible, and comfortable. These are my, "khakis and button-down shirt at the office shoes." Dressier than Chuck Taylor All-Stars because of the leather uppers. Far less dressy than my cap-toe Alden Oxfords. These are my 3rd pair of Mephisto shoes, so I guess I'm a convert. They always seem longer than the size indicates, but they do fit. I usually wear a 10 but buy a 9.5 in this brand.

Two old pairs of Match are great. This new one has an unusual totally flat sole and an ankle collar that cut my ankle.
