I also had some weird stains on the habaki but again some simple polishing removed those. Just when I thought those were the only issues, I noticed the blade was not 100% true. It's very subtle but upon inspection it stands out. I had planned to return this unit but I do like the features of this Katana. Other than the tsuka being a little long, it's a wonderful build. I decided to keep my unit especially given the discounted price. This model is being sold at near retail pricing so the current price isn't bad.
