Its good value for the price.
It is not exactly like the VW OEM filter its missing the sticky cotton material stuck to the bottom of the filter. But other than that it fits perfectly...the amount of filter paper folds are the same it will work fine! Great value considering to get this done at the dealer or local jiffy lube can cost you over $50. Bought a torx socket set on Amazon for $13 so all in filter $13 plus socket set $13 equals $26 still less than dealership!

About 1/2 in difference
It’s the same size except a bit shorter as you can see in the pictures and video. Good enough for me. I got this for a 2015 VW Passat TSI. Still fits just not as deep as the one before. All good.
