If you're looking for a dark cherry stain, look no further...
Although I bought it for another project, I picked up one of my grandfather's old hand-made wood toolboxes. The toolbox is at least 50yrs old and dilapidated made of scrap wood. I could hear him say in my head, "Not that piece of junk." But to me this is a sentimental object. I used Cabot Moonlit Mahogany on all the edges and used rugged brush strokes to fan the dark stain out from the edges. Then Used Cabot Fireside Cherry stain over-all. The toolbox is now a beautiful piece of junk and still very useful.

Best deck stain I’ve used in years
This is good stuff, Cabot brand usually is, but this mix of stain is thick and high quality. I’m pretty happy with it

Was as expected and has held up nice through summer, real test is how it looks in spring

Water repellent but leaves unsightly water marks.
I purchased this brand because it was highly recommended by several professionals, and it was amazing. First, after preparing the wood with a power washer, it went on easily -- but looked very uneven. After a second coat it was dark and very shiny. I wasn't expecting it to be so shiny and figured it would fade eventually. It is very water-repellent, which is good and bad. I've attached a picture of what it looks like a week after we had rain. As you can see, the rain puddles and forms spots that can only be removed by mopping -- not exactly maintenance-free. Even on the few places where my sprinklers hit, I have to go out daily and squeegee or mop up later --

Beautiful stain really goes on nice.
I had some untreated wood around my pool on the deck that I sanded back to good finished wood then used this Cabot fireside cherry stain on w two coats and it looks awesome.

could not be easier
After 3 years, I used a 220 grit pad and brush sanded the surface just to rough it up. Brushed on and will give it another three years before I do it again. I got the best price on Amazon.

What it looks like on T1-11.
The media could not be loaded. The price is bit high. Looks great though.
