Premium coffee for sure
These are certainly single origin flavourful high end coffee for the connoisseur. I liked two of them and the third was quite bland for my taste. I am not a specialist in coffee by any standard but could recognise and appreciate the different notes in the taste and the subtleties. One was more chocolaty and another was fruity. The third was very weak. If you like black coffee you should surely try these for an experience. If you take with creamer you might find them a little weak and also may not appreciate the different notes in the flavor. Overall I recommend.

Good coffee! Check your grind.
I'm on a mission to try all the new coffee roasters and this Koinonia one was new to me. The three coffees in this pack had decent and distinct flavors. These are not very dark roasts, so you can try this if you want to dabble on the dark side but not get too oily doing it. I only really liked one, but I fear the grind might have got me. The pourover grind they gave was too rough for the stronger cup I usually get using a finer grind, but that's what I get for being a lazy bum and not grinding it myself. What kind of coffee snob am I, really, not grinding my own?? A very lazy one, that's what kind. So the coffee was good, but best grind your own for your preferred pour. Obviously. Packaging was good and it came fast. Worth trying the sample. I'd gift all of these to the coffee snobs I know. Worth a try if you like unique coffees!

but the other two are equally fine. The Majirabad required a bit of tweaking and ...
Ordered the sampler with Badra, Araku, and Kelagur. The folks at Koinonia were very helpful over FB chat in deciding what to order, and did an inverted aeropress grind for me. The coffee itself is top quality. Lovely bloom and aroma. Favoured the Badra, for its deep chocolatey notes, but the other two are equally fine. The Kelagur required a bit of tweaking and experimenting with dosage and brew times, but that seems to be a regular feature with me and natural processed coffees -- nothing an experienced coffee drinker should be wary of, and certainly worth the effort. Will be ordering again from them. One of the packs had a broken ziploc seal, but that wasn't a deal breaker. Hopefully that's just an outlier.

Highly recommended roasters!!
First of all the coffee is amazing, it does not let you down at all. Then there is customer service, I accidentally order wrong grind size, but when I contacted KCroasters they help me get my desired grind size and delivered to me on time. I would definitely suggest any coffee they have and it is freshly roasted, tastes amazing and there is a lot of variety. Very satisfied๐๐๐๐

This was a bit of a disappointment. I would recommend getting in touch with them ...
I've actually had the coffee at Koinonia's shop in Bombay, and I would have given them a four or five star rating, if it weren't for the fact that the product I received was different from the one shown in the picture. I'd tasted their Badra coffee at the coffee shop, and was expecting to receive it because that's what's in the product picture, but I didn't. This was a bit of a disappointment.I would recommend getting in touch with them before placing an order, because these guys are pretty good at recommending the right sort of coffee for your brewing method. I personally brew my coffee in a Bialetti Brikka moka pot, for which again, I think Badra works best.Despite my three star review, I do recommend ordering their coffees, but I also recommend getting in touch with them on Facebook or phone before placing your order. The quality of their coffee at their coffee shop is stellar.I'd also recommend to the seller that they update their pictures and descriptions to be a little clearer to avoid disappointment on the buyer's side.

Medium - almost dark roast at best
The Doraikanal is sublime - it tastes like what its meant to be - in a pour over, in a moka pot - just lacks the fruity character. The Marvahulla comes in second - bitter with the pressure of the moka pot but with the pour over it tastes alright. The Gowri is just fancy click bait - faint hazelnuts and just the texture of marzipan. I was looking forward to this but it lacked everything. The only way the flavor pops a little if you allow milk to swim in it for a bit.Cupping, Pour over and Moka pot - medium to fine grind via the skerton.

Ticks all the right boxes
The coffee is really good - especially Poabs and Araku. And the people at Koinonia are very responsive, have an infectious passion for coffee and have extensive knowledge which they are more than happy to share. Speciality coffee, in my opinion, is just as much about coffee as it is about the experience of sourcing, brewing and discussing it. Koinonia ticks all the right boxes. A shout-out to Sonali and Clement - thanks guys.
