The weight of this book is great for me too, not light and not too heavy either. Overall, it is a great notebook for its features at a great price. I've been using spiral bound books with light dots making a grid instead of actual lines. A) I don't need a grid for writing, B) I can hardly see the dots, C) I hate the spiral bind because when I get to the edge of the paper, everything looks like a 2 year-old got a hold of my pen. These lay flat as I write, so I can use the full page (both sides!) and they're lined, so I can keep my writing from trailing off in whatever direction. The covers are sturdy enough to be able to write without a flat surface, but flexible enough that I don't worry about the board breaking or otherwise getting damaged. I also love that they come in a variety of colors - I have a couple for work purposes, and I'm definitely going to get at least one for personal stuff.
