The cost is high, but it's worth it, to avoid all the horrible chemicals that Cadbury puts in their US-marketed candy. When it comes to the type of candy, the taste and texture are almost like the Brach's Chocolate Parfait Nips from the 1990s, before they changed the recipe and added chemicals that made them taste a bit strange. It's a sweet caramel outer-layer with a rich chocolate inner-layer, and each candy takes over a minute to dissolve in the mouth (at least the way I eat them), so they make for a really nice little treat. Overall, these have a wonderful taste that comes from using real-sugar instead of HF-corn-syrup and from using other real ingredients instead of chemicals, and that makes them a winner for our home. While I'm not thrilled with Maltitol, as a sweetener, we use maltitol-sweetened candy when we're low-carbing, and we can't use these at that time, so I do wish there was a sugar-free version.
