The cover is a absolutely a buttery soft texture that you can't keep your hands off of! The pages are of way better quality than I expected considering the price. The print size is just right, as is the Bible's size. I highly recommend this to about anyone, I bought it for my daughter as her first Bible that's not a kids'/teens' Bible, as she asked for, & she immediately opened it & started reading from it, as soon as it got here. She genuinely loves the area in back where it lays out where to look depending on what you're needing to hear/read & where to look when needing/wanting to see/hear/read/KNOW God's promises...it gives several listings of places to find Word of each promise He makes that an be of comfort to someone at about any time in their life. I tell this, not because it's necessarily unique to this Bible, but for anyone who hasn't had one or hasn't looked at one for a while, so they know it's there & can be of great comfort in any time in your life. I have used the NIV since it came out in 1984 I am not giving it up but there are some 100 verses left out now I can check it against the KJV. I love the feel of this Bible and it is so easy and fast to flip to passages with it. It is now my take to church Bible. There really isn't any space for notes but it is not my main study Bible. The pink and brown look so pretty and the print is just right size. I use a pink dry highlighter a wet one would bleed thru. I am not usually a pink person, but the color along with the brown trim make it stand out in tasteful, creative style. It's worth more than the Amazon Prime price.
