The only way that MIGHT work is if you were installing it at the top of some stairs and you were able to install it slightly below the level of the top step so that it could be more or less flush with the floor. **Q: Can you convert this to pressure mount? If so, what parts are needed?** A: The Crystal Hardware Mount cannot be converted to the Crystal Pressure Mount. You will need to purchase the Pressure Mount version if that is what you need.
