It's exactly what I wanted. It's a lighter weight but still good for winter. Not as a winter outdoor scarf but as fashion that keeps your neck covered. I bought two color ways. The tan one and the olive green. I would buy other colors. I did get a pull on a thread my first wear but was able to get it all back in by manipulating the fabric (pulling gently). The description on the Amazon page mentions "be alert when you open the package" but that note is lost at the end of the product description. So, I offer this to all, so you avoid my error. If you are trying to be fashionable- I see no reason that I would not wear it out if I was doing the pastel kinda look. Just being honest. It's rather long so it's almost more functional for rather cool air than just hanging it around your shirt/sport coat. For the price- I think you would be happy.
