They are meant to help prepare the skin for better bandage adhesion. They are not a dressing in itself. Had to do many bandage changes on my husband before he passed and I loved these wipes. They really help a bandage or protective bandages such as Tegaderm adhere to the skin. I always have them on hand. Helps with bandaid adhesion too. I use K Tape for RA. The tape is great, but when I take it off, it can really irritate my shoulders to the point of bleeding. But after three coats of this stuff and letting it dry, the kinesiology tape applied wonderfully, stayed on for 48 hours, and when I carefully took it off, there was only a slight bit of irritation.
